A Warhammer: Invasion card of the week spotlight

It was Korhil, the Captain of the White Lions, who hunted and caught the great lion Charandis. This lion was a massive and ferocious creature, mutated by the warping power of Chaos. Nevertheless, by his wits and skill alone, Korhil survived the beast’s attacks long enough to realise that the blows from his woodsman’s axe had no effect on the Charandis’ magical hide. So in a feat of physical strength unheard of for an elf, Korhil wrestled the raging beast to the ground and throttled the life from its thrashing body.

Welcome back to the Warhammer: Invasion card of the week! Omens of Ruin, the first Battle Pack in The Morrslieb Cycle, will be on store shelves early next month. Last time, we saw the offensive power of the Orcs’ Boar Pen. Today, we’ll take a look at a High Elf hero hacking his way onto tabletops, and the inspirational influence he has over his fellow High Elves.

An Inspiring Presence

The hero Korhil is a solid four-cost unit, with his high number of hit points and respectable two power icons. His real strength, however, is in the ability to inspire other High Elves to join his cause. Whenever he attacks, you may reveal the top card of your deck, putting any High Elf units (of three or less cost) in play! At best, you’ll add some extra power to your strike (for free), and at worst, you’ll learn what your next card will be.

There are plenty of candidates to hope for when revealing that top card, since a wide range of High Elf units are at or below the three cost mark. You might pull the Silver Helm Brigade, Archmage of Saphery, or Scion of the Everqueen. Or better yet, the Sea Guard Captain could add his indirect damage to the attack, and the Loremaster of Hoeth and Ellyrian Reavers each trigger additional effects when entering play.

Look for Korhil as part of the Omens of Ruin Battle Pack in just a few short weeks. In the meantime, keep checking back for more on Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game!
