Announcing the Edison Single Miniature Pack for Tannhäuser
“Every boy in the Union wants to be him, every woman wants to meet him, and every man would die for him. If it keeps the troops in the trenches, I won’t complain." – General George S. Patton
A war hero son of the Union’s brilliant president, Colonel James Curtis Edison was executing dangerous missions before his eighteenth birthday. Armed with the best weapons and technology the Union can muster, Edison is a one man army, capable of bringing down the largest of soldiers with the flick of a switch and a pull of a trigger.
Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the Edison Single Miniature Pack for Tannhäuser! This heroic expansion includes one beautifully painted figure and accompanying character sheet, an all-new scenario, and all the tokens and equipment cards necessary to bring Edison’s inspiring leadership to your battles.
Taking the World by Storm
In the early years of the Great War, a single plane appeared over Germany. It meticulously bombed key Reich locations, and then, without stopping, crossed over the Atlantic, heading directly for Washington D.C. When the craft unabashedly landed at the Potomac airbase, no one expected to see young James Curtis Edison step out of the cockpit to be greeted by his father, Thomas Edison, who had lost the presidency to the revolutionary Woodrow Wilson in the election three years prior.
Both Edisons took the world by storm after that fateful day. James Curtis Edison took to the battlefield, fighting alongside the common soldier, while his father took back the presidency with a tactical genius unmatched by most generals. When James Curtis Edison takes to the field, every Union soldier who serves under him knows he’s in good hands. Edison has never left a man behind, and is always the last man to leave a mission. His age, experience, and charisma leaves no doubt in anyone’s mind that he will be president of the free Union of Nations one day.
Behind Enemy Lines
Wielding the fearsome MENLO Gun, a design based on the technology recovered at Roswell, Edison is able to bend time itself to reuse spent ammunition. Meanwhile, Edison’s special ability, “America’s Favorite Son,” represents the deep dedication his men feel toward their leader. When Edison is declared as the target of an attack, nearby friendly troopers will flock to his aid, shielding him with their own lives!
But will his remarkable courage and technological prowess be enough to see him through his most dangerous assignment yet? The included scenario, First In. Last Out., places Edison and a small contingent of backup in the heart of a Reich-infested castle. When the mission goes bad, Edison and his men will have to make a hasty retreat. While the Reich would love nothing more than to bring down America’s finest hero, Edison refuses to leave the castle until his men have made it out first. Can you lead his team to safety?
