“What of Cair Andros?” said the Prince. “That, too, must be held if Osgiliath is defended. Let us not forget the danger on our left. The Rohirrim may come, and they may not. But Faramir has told us of great strength drawing ever to the Black Gate. More than one host may issue from it, and strike for more than one passage.” –The Return of the King
Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce that The Massing at Osgiliath is now on sale through Print on Demand!
In The Massing at Osgiliath, players attempt to steer the heroes of Middle-earth past Orcish scouts, wargs, and Wainriders. They carry dire news which must get through to Minas Tirith: the war hosts of Mordor have taken Osgiliath and mass to march upon the White City!
A unique challenge
The Massing at Osgiliath originally ran at Gen Con Indy 2011 as a special event, allowing attendees to embark upon a unique and harrowing run from Mordor’s vanguard. Now, we’re making this special scenario for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game available to the public through Print on Demand.
Scouts at the ruins of Osgiliath have made a terrifying discovery: Sauron has secretly maneuvered a large army onto Gondor’s doorstep and now threatens to overthrow it. Minas Tirith may fall unless a few brave heroes can cross the Anduin and carry warnings.
You assume the role of one of these brave messengers. The Massing at Osgiliath immerses you in the thrills and perils of Middle-earth with a four-part quest and complete encounter deck. You’ll have to make your way through vital locations on both sides of the Anduin, and fight hordes of new enemies, including the most terrifying foe at the Dark Lord’s disposal, the Witch-king of Angmar!
The hosts of Mordor have arrived
Order The Massing at Osgiliath from our webstore today to see for yourself why the men of Gondor trembled in the Witch-king’s presence!
