Unlimited Power
There is no "correct" way to play a Mystic in your campaigns. As the Jedi Order has been dismantled, so too are their strict rules for how one may interact with the Force. Now, you are free to explore new ways to commune with the power that binds all things and discover the true path of your destiny. These options are explored in Unlimited Power, the Mystic sourcebook for the Force and Destiny roleplaying game. Each of the three new specializations included in Unlimited Power feature a wide variety of talent sets, described in the sourcebook and here in their Specialization Decks. Each card in one of these Specialization Decks represents one of the purchasable talents on the specialization tree found in Unlimited Power, now featured on a convenient card for you to display alongside your character sheet, providing a quick and easy reference point with beautiful art to immerse you in the stories of your campaigns.
The Magus is ambitious, exploring their link to the Force through experimentation rather than formal education. This freedom of exploration creates a unique bond with the Force unlike any other faction in the galaxy, fraught with risks, but also the possibility of great rewards. Through the use of once-forbidden knowledge and rituals, they are able to perform supernatural feats unlike anything dreamed of in years. But how close can these Mystics push themselves to the dark side before they surrender to it?
The Prophet marks one of the few sparks of hope that remains under the rule of the Galactic Empire. Offering insight into the light side of the Force, these counselors use their knowledge to influence their comrades and shape the future of the galaxy to their own designs. With their ability to see the patterns and flow of destiny, they act as the voice of the Force, providing messages, guidance, or warnings to others. But those who would heed their words should be wary, for prophecies are seldom all they seem.
The Alchemist uses their link to the Force to imbue its raw energy into inanimate objects, bringing life to what was once a mere trinket. Some members of this faction started as sculptors or others who worked in physical forms of expression before becoming drawn to the idea of creating things with a purpose. While forbidden among the Jedi, this art binds the Force to potions and elixirs, similarly to how the Jedi craft their lightsabers. But with the power to give life, how can the Alchemist keep from becoming possessed by the pride which has been the downfall of so many?
Whether they seek power, glimpses of the future, or to understand the power of life itself, all Mystics should look to the Mystic Signature Abilities Deck for descriptive breakdowns of the faction’s key abilities, Unmatched Destiny and Prophecy. The Unmatched Destiny signature ability allows Mystics to alter the Force on a moment-by-moment basis, but at the risk of increasing their Conflict. Meanwhile, Prophecy offers Mystics the power to see into the future and reveal important events. Or are they actually changing the future and making it real?
