The pinnacle of competition is nearly here! The 2017 World Championships for four FFG games are being held November 1st through 5th at the Fantasy Flight Games Center in Roseville, MN!

• Runewars Miniatures Game
• Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

The series of Organized Play championships which began in local game stores around the world culminates in this epic showdown! Top competitors from across the globe have been earning their reserved seats at Regional Championships, National Championships, and the European and North American Championships. You too can vie for the title of World Champion of your favorite game by applying for an opportunity to purchase an available seat!

In response to player feedback from last year's World Championships, we have been working to develop a more equitable way of offering access to open seats. Interested players will complete an application for each game they wish to compete in, and a portion will be randomly selected and offered the opportunity to purchase a ticket for a seat.

To apply for this opportunity (or claim a reserved seat you earned), proceed to our World Championship ticketing portal. Click on your favorite game's listing to see the dates for that World Championship and side events. Please complete a separate application for each game's World Championship you are interested in competing at by 9:00 AM CDT (Central Daylight Time, UTC -5) on Thursday, September 7th. Submitting more than one application for the same listing will invalidate your previous submissions for that listing.

You will need a valid phone number which can receive a text message to apply. Afterwards, please confirm that you have received a confirmation email for each application from [email protected]. You will also receive an email from [email protected], which will allow you to create an account and view your applications. Please check your spam and filtered folders for these emails.

Please note that the World Championships for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game and Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game will offer two separate days of the initial Swiss-pairings stage of their tournaments, Day 1A and Day 1B. A portion of players from both days will advance to a combined Day 2 for each game. If you are willing to compete in either one of the two days, please complete a separate application for both Day 1A and Day 1B listings.

Only registered attendees are admitted into the Fantasy Flight Games Center during the World Championships! There is no on-site registration, only online preregistration through this application process. All attendees, regardless of the game they are registered for, can sign-up for any game's side events with open space, and side events are free to join. If you are interested in attending in a press role, please apply for press credentials.

Random Selection Process

A random selection for open seats in each individual game (and day) will be conducted from the pool of applicants on Friday, September 8th, and acceptance notification emails sent. If accepted, you must complete your purchase of that seat for $70 by 9:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, September 19th.

For competitors with reserved seats: When completing your application, please select the correct option for the type of reserved seat you earned. We will verify details, and then notify those players on or before September 12th. You must complete your purchase of any reserved seats by 9:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, September 19th.

As a reminder, application acceptance and reserved seats are specific to their game (and day). Purchases not completed by listed deadlines will void acceptance or reservation. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

On Friday, September 22nd, if there are seats remaining in an event, we will post on the @FFGOP Twitter account. One final round of random selections will be made from the pool of unselected open seat applicants, and acceptance notification emails sent. If accepted, you must complete your purchase of that seat by 9:00 AM CDT on Friday, September 29th.

• September 8th - Acceptance notification emails sent to randomly selected open seat applicants
• September 12th - Confirmation emails sent to reserved seat holders
• September 19th - 9:00 AM CDT deadline to complete purchases of open and reserved seats
• September 22nd - Acceptance notification emails sent to randomly selected final round of open seat applicants
• September 26th - Remaining seats for some games available for open purchase at 9:00 AM CDT
• September 29th - 9:00 AM CDT deadline to complete purchases of final round of open seats
• September 29th - Remaining seats for Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game available for open purchase at 2:00 PM CDT
• October 6th - 9:00 AM CDT deadline for all open purchase ticketing
