Enter the Shadows

Twin Shadows and Its Figure Packs Are Now Available

"You can either profit by this or be destroyed. It’s your choice, but I warn you not to underestimate my power.”

–Luke Skywalker, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

The dusty streets of Mos Eisley and the sweeping dunes of the Jundland Wastes are full of danger for the unaware or underprepared. So when Han Solo disappears during a reconnaissance mission on Tatooine, the High Command of the Rebel Alliance dispatches two of its best agents to uncover the truth behind Imperial activity on Tatooine.

Now, you can journey there yourself and fight alongside iconic characters with the Twin Shadows expansion for Imperial Assault! This expansion, together with the C-3PO and R2-D2 Ally Pack, the Boba Fett Villain Pack, and the Kayn Somos Villain Pack, is now available at your local United States retailer.

A Hive of Scum and Villainy

As soon as you land on Tatooine, you’ll be drawn into the dangers that lurk there. Tatooine lies in the Outer Rim, where the galaxy’s Mercenaries are as powerful as the Empire itself. Here, deadly assassins rub shoulders with Stormtrooper commanders – and a tempting bounty draws hunters from all around. Twin Shadows chronicles these dangers with a new mini-campaign for the campaign game and new missions for the skirmish game.

In our first preview of Twin Shadows, we looked at the two new heroes of the Rebellion introduced in this expansion. Biv Bodhrik bears a grudge against all members of the Imperial Stormtroopers, and he’s equally lethal when firing from afar or when he closes to melee combat with his opponents. He’s joined in this delicate operation by Saska Teft, a technician who crafts unique devices for every situation – from weapon mods to adrenal stimulators. In addition, Saska’s ties to the Tatooine underworld may prove vital to discovering the whereabouts of Han Solo.

Of course, the Rebel Alliance is not the only group to receive reinforcements with Twin Shadows. Heavy Stormtroopers swell the ranks of the Empire’s Troopers, packing greater firepower and thicker armor than typical Stormtroopers. Meanwhile, Tusken Raiders ride out of the Jundland Wastes, raiding and stealing whatever they can take from the moisture farmers. Both Heavy Stormtroopers and Tusken Raiders can oppose the heroes in a campaign game or swell your skirmish game forces, as we explored in our second preview

Iconic Heroes and Villains

The Twin Shadows expansion is joined by three figure packs: the C-3PO and R2-D2 Ally Pack, the Boba Fett Villain Pack, and the Kayn Somos Villain Pack. Each of these Imperial Assault figure packs highlights a specific character or characters, offering sculpted plastic figures to replace the tokens included in Twin Shadows.

As we explored in our later previews, these Ally Packs and Villain Packs offer new missions and cards for both the campaign game and the skirmish game. You may lead the hunt with the deadly Mandalorian bounty hunter, Boba Fett. You may negotiate with your foes or hack into a terminal network with the heroic droids, C-3PO and R2-D2. Finally, you may command a legion of Stormtroopers with the fearsome commander, Kayn Somos. With new Deployment cards, Command cards, Agenda cards, and Mission cards for both your campaigns and skirmishes, each of these figure packs can change your games of Imperial Assault forever.
