"As I turned up the stinking black earth in front of the fireplace, my spade causing a viscous yellow ichor to ooze from the white fungi which it severed, I trembled at the dubious thoughts of what I might uncover."
–H.P. Lovecraft, The Shunned House

Just last weekend it was that hundreds of daring investigators booked their tickets and made their way by train, automobile, and aeroplane to Roseville, Minnesota. There, while the trees were just starting to shed their red and golden leaves and the remaining foliage bloomed like a quiet sunset against the thin northern air, these brave and unwitting dreamers began their journeys into the unknown, unfathomable, and otherworldly realities of Arkham Nights 2016 and the Arkham Horror Files Universe.

The affair was secreted behind the doors of the Fantasy Flight Games Center, the unassuming exterior facade of which scarcely provided any indication that the investigators within were about to uncover the deepest and darkest secrets of the terrible, extra-dimensional beings known as the "Ancient Ones" and their many cultists. But once the investigators made their way inside, they were confronted by an electric atmosphere, charged with games of Arkham Horror, Eldritch Horror, Elder Sign, Mansions of Madness Second Edition, and the world premiere of Arkham Horror: The Card Game.

Indeed, there were many leads for the investigators to follow in their pursuit of the arcane, and there were numerous highlights from the weekend's adventures.

The Premiere of Arkham Horror: The Card Game

The world premiere of Arkham Horror: The Card Game was, for many investigators, the weekend's highlight. Every attendee received a special early copy of the Curse of the Rougarou scenario and was afforded the opportunity to purchase an early copy of the Core Set.

This meant that, by Saturday, we had investigators from all corners of Arkham digging their way to the bottom of the mysteries of the Core Set's Night of the Zealot campaign. And this meant that by Sunday, we had already seen dozens of investigators devoured or driven mad by the horrors they had unleashed.

We tracked the results of these investigations throughout our Arkham LCG® Invocation Event, and of the twenty-two teams that dared risk their lives and sanity, seventy-two percent saw Arkham succumb to otherworldly terrors while a mere twenty-one percent found some way to save the city—and humanity—from doom.

We also collected a number of attendees' responses to the game:

FFG: What did you think of your campaign?

"It was nuts! Played through it twice and it was nerve-racking the whole time."

"Incredibly thematic, fun, great storytelling. Felt I was my character."

"Each scenario builds on each other to an interesting conclusion."

"Enjoyed that even if you fail, you still get a resolution."

"The replayability of the campaign is really impressive. Most fun I have had with an LCG core set."

"It really felt like there was a lot of mystery between scenarios. We were very unsure what would happen next."

"I found the campaign incredibly captivating. There were so many moments where someone's weakness was so perfectly appropriate for their character or what was happening. It also had that true Lovecraft feel of feeling like everything was spiraling rapidly out of control."

        };
        $('#BCE7').colorbox(opts);
      });

FFG: What was the coolest, most exciting, most terrifying, or most mind-melting thing you remember from your games?

"When the urchin Wendy took it upon herself to grab a bat and single-handedly bashed in the brains of the Ghoul Priest."

"Skids [O'Toole] becoming a werewolf."

"In the first scenario, Skids threw some dynamite in the Hallway to help kill the Ghoul Priest, but to keep Daisy alive he had to heal her first with some First Aid."

"The alternate methods of closing out the scenarios provided good co-op discussions and debates."

"Constant fear of drawing cards and drawing a weakness that could ruin everything."

"Pulling an auto-fail token and taking five damage and five sanity!"

FFG: What would you tell other gamers about this game?

"Highly recommended!"

"Very enjoyable, narrative card game that draws you in and creates tension."

"Surprised at how much [I] enjoyed it. Not as complicated as it looks."

"Your choices have lasting consequences."

"Think of it as an unfinished novel; as new ideas come out, the player narrative will evolve to encompass new cards and characters."

"Amazing! So much fun. It's tough, but some of the most fun I've had losing!"

"BUY IT!!!"

"If The Lord of the Rings LCG, or any other adventure game, interested you even in the slightest: buy this game. In fact, buy two copies."

The intrepid adventurers who attended Arkham Nights didn't just uncover this unique opportunity to play the game at its release—and with co-designer Matthew Newman—they also unlocked a hidden room in which designers Nate French and Matthew Newman were revealing the secrets of the game's design. Over the course of roughly forty-five minutes, they covered topics ranging from the game's original vision to its aesthetics and the ways in which its elements were developed with the player's point-of-view in mind.

You can now find these rantings and invocations online on our YouTube channel.

More Arkham Madness

While the premiere of Arkham Horror: The Card Game may have been the main draw among cultists and investigators, it certainly wasn't the weekend's only point of intrigue. We also hosted events for all of our other Arkham-themed games, as well as several tables of our The End of the World: Wrath of the Gods Roleplaying Game, which had plenty of Ancient Ones of its own.

Arkham Horror

      $(document).ready(function() {

          innerHeight: 347,
          innerWidth: 450
        };
        $('#16D3B').colorbox(opts);
      });

Richard Launius, the designer of Arkham Horror, was once again able to join us, and he was kind enough to celebrate the game's longevity by playing several sessions at a giant-sized board. One of the teams won the game in three turns, and Richard commemorated their victory by bestowing them with gifts, including tokens and pieces from his original, thirty-year-old copy of the game!

We were reminded, once again, how fortunate and happy we are to have had the opportunity to work with Richard over the years.

The weekend also saw another of our massive To the Barricades sessions of Arkham Horror, with sixteen players joining forces against Azathoth, and designer Kevin Wilson stopped in to hang out, chat, and answer questions.

Eldritch Horror

After the recent announcement of The Dreamlands expansion for Eldritch Horror, we were excited to give attendees the opportunity to pursue the mysteries of the Ancient One across the world… and other worlds. We had preview sessions of The Dreamlands running with beta materials all weekend, and these sessions remained full and enthusiastic (and doomed) the whole time.

        };
        $('#53C6').colorbox(opts);
      });

Mansions of Madness Second Edition

Finally, we had plenty of action for one of the year's hottest games—Mansions of Madness Second Edition. Developers Kara Centell-Dunk and Grace Holdinghaus joined players for several sessions that used materials from the new expansions, and despite all the different directions our investigators' efforts could lead them, we had no fewer than six tables of Mansions running at any given time.

        };
        $('#1050D').colorbox(opts);
      });

The Portal Has Closed… For Now

By Sunday, those investigators who had not yet been devoured or driven mad accounted themselves fortunate to have entered the mouth of madness and survived, intact, to tell their tales—whether or not those who heard them would make any sense of their strange and fragmented blatherings. Ancient Ones? Invisible horrors that stalk the night? Cultists working their way into the highest ranks of the university and government? Worlds beyond our own, arranged according to non-Euclidean geometries that assail the senses?

Likely, these investigators travel the world, changed by their investigations, and unable to share them fully with the unknowing masses. As the autumn air grows thin and chill in Roseville, Minnesota, the leaves rattle softly along the streets. A light goes out in the Fantasy Flight Games Center. Arkham Nights 2016 has come and gone. The portal to madness has closed…

…for now.

The ghoulish month of October has nearly arrived, and Arkham Nights 2016, our annual celebration of Lovecraftian horror and gaming, has sold out! You can be sure that this October 14-15 will be an Arkham Nights like no other, whether you’re walking the streets in Arkham Horror: The Card Game, entering a cursed house in Mansions of Madness Second Edition, or experiencing the mythos in any other way!

Prepare for the Worst

The veils between dimensions have drawn thin as the portentous time approaches. Creatures from other worlds have slipped into Earth, and their mere existence is enough to drive sanity from your mind. At Arkham Nights 2016, you’ll have the chance to come face to face with these monstrosities.

A pantheon of Lovecraftian games await anyone who passes beyond the threshold of the Fantasy Flight Games Center this October. You may test your skills as an investigator in the brand-new Arkham Horror: The Card Game, or you may go back to the origin of the madness: playing the board game Arkham Horror with its original designer, Richard Launius. You can pass beneath stooping gables and sinister architecture in the newly released second edition of Mansions of Madness. Or, you can fight evil across the world and in the Miskatonic University Museum with Eldritch Horror and Elder Sign.

“If Lady Esprit was right, this ‘roux-ga-roux’ wouldn’t stop killing at three, that’s for sure. But curses? Wolf-people? How could such things be real? Only one way to find out…”
–Curse of the Rougarou

An early morning fog rolls over the quiet streets of Arkham as its people wake and stagger out of bed. Sleepy-eyed, they begin to move, focused only on the tasks that lie before them. They don their coats and caps to ward off the autumn chill, then start upon their way to work. They pass their neighbors, greet the newspaper boy, and arrive at their desks. A distant train whistle howls, and all the while, these people remain completely unaware of the unfathomable terrors that threaten their very existence.

In Arkham Horror: The Card Game, powerful and malevolent beings known as Ancient Ones press against the barriers that divide their realities from our own. And while they lurk just beyond our ability to perceive them directly through our senses or science, they gnaw, nonetheless, at the minds of the psychically gifted and drive them mad. They inspire cults and cultists. They give rise to dark magic and deadly monsters.

Since these Ancient Ones and the terrors they inspire cannot be seen, studied, or measured through traditional means, very few people even suspect they exist. Similarly, their cults gather in secret, in the backrooms and abandoned cellars of closed societies. Their members conceal themselves with hoods and masks, conducting their foul rituals only at night, hidden away from prying eyes. By day, these same cultists may greet you on the avenue, serve you dinner, or educate your children. They draw no attention from the police, but you know something isn't right in Arkham…

You're convinced that recent deaths and disappearances are not the work of wild animals, as the authorities suggest, and so you enter the Mythos through Arkham Horror: The Card Game as an investigator determined to uncover the truth—even if that truth may drive you mad.

Arkham Horror: The Card Game at Arkham Nights 2016

With its blend of traditional customizable card game and roleplay elements, Arkham Horror: The Card Game offers you an entirely new experience within the Mythos. You and up to three friends become investigators, working to solve mysteries and survive the adventures into which your investigations may lead you. And it all begins at Arkham Nights 2016.

The Arkham Horror: The Card Game Core Set make its world debut at Arkham Nights, and every attendee will receive a complimentary copy of the special scenario, Curse of the Rougarou. This adventure leads your investigators deep into a tangle of nightmarish events taking place in New Orleans and the nearby bayous, and it can be played either as a standalone scenario or as one that can be woven into your ongoing campaign as a "side-story."

Friday evening, the game's designers, Nate French and Matthew Newman, will take attendees deep inside the inner workings of their design. This special presentation begins at 6 PM, with time reserved for a Q&A session at its close.

Later Friday evening, after the designers' presentation, and all through the weekend, you'll be able to learn more about the game and play through demonstrations. On Saturday, a handful of lucky attendees will even be able to confront the game's monsters, cultists, and madness alongside designer Matthew Newman.

Finally, if you find yourself driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, you can ally with other investigators on Saturday and attempt to solve the mysteries of the Core Set's Night of the Zealot campaign, with or without the added challenges of Curse of the Rougarou. We'll have campaign sheets available for all interested attendees so that you can record and report your results. Who will go insane? Who will be devoured? Will anyone manage to save humanity from certain doom? We'll tabulate your results after the event and share them with the rest of the world.

        };
        $('#11A5').colorbox(opts);
      });

Terror Grips New Orleans!

"…The headline was sensationalist. Three killings in nine days was enough to spook a town, sure. But you doubt all of New Orleans is gripped by terror, or even knows about the killings. Still, something piqued your interest."
–Curse of the Rougarou

When one reporter's sensational news about a series of savage killings fails to make its way into the Arkham Advertiser, your friend at that establishment decides to contact you, nonetheless, deeming the reports the sort of thing that might suit your eccentric curiosities. She's right, of course, and when you head to Northside Station to book your ticket for New Orleans, you can't possibly imagine the full shape of the horrors that await you…

Designed to be played as a standalone adventure, or added to your campaign as a "side-story," Curse of the Rougarou sends you along a bone-chilling hunt through New Orleans and the bayous of southern Louisiana. Its 62 cards come with all the rules, locations, act, agenda, and encounter cards that you'll need to immerse yourself in a mystery full of malign spirits, murderous beasts, and other hazards—some natural and some decidedly unnatural.

Curse of the Rougarou will be made available for purchase through FFG's in-house Factory at a later date, but for now this adventure is an exclusive opportunity for our Arkham Nights 2016 attendees.

Early Design Insights

One of the highlights of any Arkham Nights event is the chance to meet and speak with the designers and developers of your favorite games. This is again the case in 2016, and Arkham Horror: The Card Game designers Nate French and Matthew Newman will be sharing their insights into the game's design, starting at 6 PM on Friday evening.

What might you learn about the game's design and development? We've decided to ask some questions of our own:

FFG: What was the inspiration for Arkham Horror: The Card Game?

NF: "The vision behind Arkham Horror: The Card Game is that of an LCG® that is inspired by and captures elements of the RPG experience. We began with a simple idea: your deck is your character. From this starting point, a number of exciting possibilities arose: campaign play in which early decisions impact future scenarios, decks that 'level up' as an investigator gains experience (along with new cards that may be acquired through play), flaws and weaknesses that help define an investigator and also inform the way the investigator is played, free-form turns in which a vast array of possible action decisions are available to an investigator, and strong cooperative elements."

FFG: The game can be played in standalone adventures, but you recommend campaign play as the preferred format. What do you like about this format?

MN: "We were excited by the idea that decisions could occur during gameplay or during story resolutions that had both a mechanical impact on your deck or the cards in play, and also a narrative impact on the overall campaign’s story. Sometimes players might make a story decision based purely on their own moral compass. Some decisions may force the players to decide what they think will give them an edge in later scenarios. We often strove to provide no right or wrong answer—only the investigators’ choice and the consequences of that choice. This provides a lot of exciting tension during the first playthrough of a campaign, but also enhances replayability, as players may choose different paths in subsequent playthroughs.”

        };
        $('#181F0').colorbox(opts);
      });

FFG: Sounds fun. Do you have any fond memories from playtesting you’d like to share?

NF: “One of the best moments that came up as we were developing the game occurred when I drew a weakness at a climactic moment in the final scenario. We had just found the location we had been searching for, and one of my weakness cards showed up: a Stubborn Detective (Core Set, 103) who—falsely!—believed I had done something wrong. We're nearly ready to solve the mystery, and this detective tried to arrest me! It was the worst timing ever, but a great over-the-table gaming moment.”

FFG: That detective always seems to show up at the wrong time, and he always leads to new tensions. Of course, he's not the only source of tension. We've discovered there are quite a few tense moments in this game. Do you have any favorites, Matt?

MN: “Many of my favorite moments come from the chaos tokens and the way they affect players psychologically. Investigators have many ways of balancing the scale in their favor, but the chance of catastrophic failure always looms. Drawing the coveted elder sign token when an investigator attempts a seemingly impossible task often leads to actual shouts of joy. But the reverse is also true, and the chaos bag sometimes leads to great storytelling moments where a simple task turns surprisingly dire—just like in the best horror stories!"

The Arkham Nights 2016 gift bag is only available to those players who have preregistered!

Enter the Mythos

Brittle brown leaves rattle down an Arkham alley as a cold wind blows. The moon hangs luminous behind a screen of clouds. A sudden acrid tang spills into the air, sending rats from their holes in a fright. There's a spark, a shudder of electricity that comes from nowhere, runs along the ground, and trails off to the horizon…

The boundaries between worlds have grown perilously thin, and a gate has opened. Arkham Nights 2016 takes place in Roseville, MN this October 14-15 and marks the debut of Arkham Horror: The Card Game as part of a whole weekend of Lovecraftian horror.

UPDATE: These otherworldly gates never stay open for long, and this gate has now closed. Arkham Nights 2016 has sold out. We look forward to meeting all those daring souls who stepped through the gate to join us, and we encourage those of you still on the other side to come join us in the Mythos when Arkham Horror: The Card Game arrives at retailers. Be sure to pre-order your copy today!

A large brass knocker hangs innocently on the tall wooden doors, betraying no information about what lies beyond. Were you to venture forward, you would find a grand interior, filled to the brim with elegant paintings, ornate lamps, regal furniture, and polished silverware. It is an enviable estate on a hill, to which you may gain entry only through a towering, wrought iron gate. You might describe it as idyllic if you had never actually been inside. But the extravagant possessions scattered throughout the great hallways and rooms tell a story, not of grandeur, but of terror.

The paintings lining the walls will give you an uneasy feeling, dotted with glittering stars in an unusual and intentional pattern. The lamps which once brought light and warmth are now overturned, leaving only darkness and doubt. Your investigation into the mysterious events will only last minutes before you find yourself running from shapeless oozing masses and enormous winged serpents. You will find rather quickly that the chaise lounge you had momentarily admired is now only a comfort in its ability to hold a door shut, and the sharp cleaver in the kitchen does just as well at piercing live flesh as it does preparing the dead for a feast. And as for the gates outside... what purpose do they serve to keep the undesired out when evil has made its home in the very walls around you? This is the mansion to which your curiosities have brought you, and your escape is hardly guaranteed.

Mansions of Madness Second Edition arrived in early August and has brought horror to many a home in the weeks since. In the game, you and a group of investigators will fight through a series of monsters and mythos events in order to solve a supernatural mystery. Each investigator role you can play comes with a unique set of skills and attributes to help you navigate the rooms and avenues of each map, seeking answers while fending off unearthly servants of the corrupt. As the halls and horrors before you change with every play, however, there is no right or wrong choice of investigator. Only the misfortune of being the first one to stumble upon each deadly creature.

Madness and Monsters

The character you choose to take on your journey through the mansion will determine the special abilities you are able to use in your battles against the monsters within and the events that threaten to drive you out of your mind and into the grave. From your health and sanity to your knowledge and skills, each value on your character card will impact the result of every move you make. Any attack can go awry if you are unable to carry it out effectively, potentially opening yourself up to retaliation from the evil beasts surrounding you.

The creatures bearing down upon you are varied and numerous, each more unfathomable than the last. Some are so horrific that you can hardly contain your fear enough to decide to fight or flee. During the Investigator Phase of the game, you will have your chance to attack them, but leave them alive long enough to see a Mythos Phase, and you may find yourself facing the full wrath of towering serpents, corrupted human forms, and monstrous tentacled hulks unlike anything ever before seen.

An Uncertain Path

The setting of each and every scenario will take you somewhere new, be it to a wealthy residence at the edge of town or a downtrodden inn off an abandoned alley. Each room will present new scenes and objects to investigate, though insanity may wait in every corner. Mythos events will arise in seemingly safe spaces, plaguing investigators with fearful sights and sounds. Whether they are real and tangible or creations of the mind is a detail you may never quite sort out. And how can you when your sanity is constantly in question?

                             class="padding product-feature" />

The scenarios of the game are guided by the Mansions of Madness app, which walks you and your fellow investigators through each mysterious investigation step by step. Varying in difficulty and length, each scenario fashions a different experience of fear—though fear will find you no matter which endeavor you pursue. A second playthrough of a single scenario will produce new and unfamiliar details, creating an environment of even greater uncertainty. The door that once took you into a quiet office now conceals a bedroom, occupied by the very cultists who have brought about the chilling events you have come to investigate. The security of prior knowledge is not one that you are so fortunate to have in these adventures.

“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.”
–H.P. Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu

Our world spirals through the cosmos orbiting our star, so arrogantly and exclusively named The Sun. From the ground level, our existence may seem enormous, when we look at the hundreds of cultures and countries and worldviews and environments that populate the Earth. At the same time, we can gaze out into the blackness of space and feel our minds tremble as we utterly fail to comprehend the vastness of an expanse where light can travel for centuries and never reach us.

Little did we ever suspect that beyond the veils of our dimension, terrible and unseen beings might lurk, eager to crush our world and suck the marrow from its rocky bones. The entire world is in peril, and if these ancient monstrosities are to be stopped, it must be a global effort.

Eldritch Horror is a board game that sets you and up to seven of your friends in the roles of investigators, endowed with the monumental purpose of preventing the world’s imminent doom. In each game, you’ll be faced with the terror of an encroaching Ancient One, intent on destroying our world. If you’re going to turn this creature aside, you’ll need to seek forbidden knowledge and uncover that Ancient One’s mysteries—just be sure that the facts you learn don’t drive you mad!

Investigating the Unknown

At the beginning of a game of Eldritch Horror, you and your fellow investigators are scattered across the globe. A mystery is laid before you—one Mystery card from the chosen Ancient One’s unique Mystery deck. You may be tasked with hunting down a single monster that’s terrorizing Arkham. You may investigate a green meteorite that’s crashed down in Tunguska or venture into other worlds, making a dread sacrifice of magical power to close the gate and protect Earth for another day. To successfully forestall your coming doom, you and your friends must solve several of these mysteries, and you can be sure that none of them will be easily completed.

Each round begins with the investigators taking actions. Many of your actions are simply related to traveling the world. You can’t fight cosmic evil from just one city, and your journeys will take you from the jungles of deepest Africa and the heights of the Himalayas to bustling cities like San Francisco or Buenos Aires. Within these locations, you can attempt to purchase new equipment, weapons, or supplies, as well as trade with any investigators in the same location.

Of course, it’s not the journey that matters, but the encounters that you’ll find once you arrive in your destination. After every investigator has taken their turn, you’ll experience the encounter phase, as each of you locks eyes with the true face of mystery and horror. You may travel on an expedition into the Pyramids of Egypt, only to face the mummy that lies within. You may infiltrate a cult or fight a terrifying monster like a nightgaunt or a starspawn. You may even venture through a gate into another world, traveling between time and space to walk through the Plateau of Leng, Lost Carcosa, or the future of our own world. These encounters will test you to the utmost, and your skills will determine whether these encounters end happily… or decidedly not.

After the encounters have been resolved, you and your fellow investigators are mercilessly cast into the mythos phase. In this phase, the Ancient One draws even closer to Earth, and your imminent demise approaches. Terrifying events unfold around the globe—the stars draw into alignment, monsters crawl out of the darkness, and new gates are torn open between our worlds and those unnameable other dimensions. Only once you have weathered this eldritch storm will you and your fellow investigators be free to perform actions and move around the world once more. Still, you can’t take too much comfort from the passing of a mythos phase. You and your friends are weak mortals, and if enough rounds pass, you will inevitably lose the game.

You’re already able to travel across the entire globe with the Eldritch Horror Core Set, but with five currently released expansions, you can plunge even deeper into a terrifying ocean of Lovecraftian horror. Forsaken Lore pits you against the reptilian Yig, while Strange Remnants brings you into the most arcane ruins of human civilization. Mountains of Madness puts the focus squarely on the desolate wastes and inhospitable climate of Antarctica, while Under the Pyramids gives a similar treatment to ancient, lore-steeped Egypt. Most recently, you’ve been able to hear the madness that surrounds the Yellow Sign and the King in Yellow with Signs of Carcosa.

Come to Arkham Nights 2016

As the leaves shrivel and die on their branches and the days flee quickly into night, there’s never been a better time to play Eldritch Horror. You’ll have the chance to experience the game at Arkham Nights 2016, whether you participate in a demo for the first time or play in a massive eighteen-player scenario. Your doom is not yet upon you: there’s still time to preregister for Arkham Nights. Then, join us October 14-15 for a weekend of Lovecraftian horror and gaming!

The days are growing shorter. The sun no longer rises high in the sky, and the relative safety of daylight is vanishing. In the darkening twilight, nameless things flutter and croak, hunting for lonely walkers and open windows. As the harvest moon rises, the walls between worlds draw thin, and eldritch creatures begin to press through the dimensions into our world.

In this spirit of this haunting season, Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce Arkham Nights 2016, held this October 14th-15th at the Fantasy Flight Games Center in Roseville, Minnesota!

If you’re looking for a place to hide from a hunting mi-go or simply hoping to recover some of your shattered sanity, Arkham Nights is the perfect place to be. At this exciting two-day event, you’ll have the chance to meet some of the designers of your favorite Lovecraftian games, play demos, receive chilling gifts, and purchase the brand-new Arkham Horror: The Card Game for the first time!

Two Days of Terror

This year, Arkham Nights will feature plenty of your favorite Lovecraftian games, both old classics and new releases. Arkham Horror: The Card Game will make its debut at Arkham Nights, allowing you to pick up your copy and play through the campaign for the first time at this celebration of all things Lovecraft. You’ll be able to catch a demo if you want to get your first taste of the game, and designers Nate French and Matt Newman will be giving a presentation on Friday night to talk about the design process for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. It’s the perfect chance to peek behind the veil at some forbidden knowledge!

Then, on Saturday, you’ll be able to participate in a thrilling special event for Arkham Horror: The Card Game with other attendees! Keep watching our website for more information about this event and Arkham Horror: The Card Game.

You’ll also have the chance to enter the haunted streets of Arkham through games of Mansions of Madness Second Edition. You’ll have the chance to play the game while taking advantage of the monsters, tiles, and scenarios introduced by the soon-to-be-released Recurring Nightmares and Suppressed Memories Figure and Tile Collections.

Arkham Horror: The Card Game and Mansions of Madness Second Edition may be the newest additions to the Arkham Horror Files, but they are by no means the only way for you to walk through a gateway into another world. Richard Launius, the original creator of Arkham Horror, will be in attendance, inviting you to trace the history of Arkham Horror by playing both editions of Arkham Horror to celebrate the game’s thirtieth anniversary. You can experience massive struggles with eighteen-player scenarios for Eldritch Horror and Arkham Horror and even battle a new version of Hastur in Elder Sign that has been created exclusively for Arkham Nights.

Preregister for Arcane Prizes

For those attendees who preregister by October 2nd, you’ll also receive a collection of invaluable artifacts. First, you’ll find a 6” by 9” black velveteen bag, emblazoned with the symbol of the elder sign—making this bag the perfect place to store your chaos tokens for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. This gift bag also contains The Curse of the Rougarou, an exclusive new scenario for Arkham Horror: The Card Game that gives you the chance to experience a horrific new adventure before it’s released to the general public. You’ll also find the new version of Hastur for your own games of Elder Sign, and a collection of sixteen acrylic stamina and sanity tokens that can be used in any of your Arkham Horror Files games to track your dwindling health and sanity! (Please note: The Curse of the Rougarou scenario will be released to the general public through our in-house manufacturing at a later date.)
