Get ready to run! We are rapidly approaching Gen Con Indy 2013 and the North American Championships for Android: Netrunner The Card Game . Hundreds of players have already registered, and if you’re attending, you can expect to find whole servers full of fun, megacorp-sized surprises. Risk, bluffing, and educated guesses are all integral to the game’s cyberstruggles, but when it comes to the rules, you’ll want to find absolute clarity.
To ensure the best possible experience at this premier-level event, and in games everywhere, the game’s developers have updated the FAQ (pdf, 9.6 MB) and Tournament Rules document (pdf, 4.2 MB) for Android: Netrunner .

A Word from the Developers
Greetings, Android: Netrunner players!
You will find a number of changes in the updated FAQ and Tournament Rules document. The FAQ answers many new questions that have arisen since the last update. It also introduces a new Card Clarification section, which should make it easier for you to look up interactions with specific cards.
One of the more important concepts defined in the FAQ is the concept of “all.” Contradicting and correcting earlier rulings, we decided that it was necessary to make “all” include zero. Due to future card interactions and for simplicity’s sake, we realize it is better to not define a null state within the game. This was not an easy decision, but ultimately the fewer exceptions and edge cases a game has, the better.
The Tournament Rules have been overhauled to simplify and streamline Swiss round scoring. We wanted to make it easier for players to understand what was going on, and easier for TOs to track. The changes also place more of an emphasis on winning games, not winning the match, until you get to the elimination rounds.
We are always looking for ways to improve the game, and your feedback is invaluable in this process. Thank you for your passion, and until next time, run early and often, and ice those servers!
