He knew he wouldn’t be able to return to cover before the Allied forces returned fire but his death wouldn’t be in vain. He pulled the trigger.

Observe and report

Both the Allied and the Axis observer squads are crucial for artillery units. 18 Foxtrot and Beobachter are comprised of two special soldiers who allow the artillery units to fire on a target beyond their line of sight.

With the Artillery Strike ability these soldiers can locate an enemy target, relay its coordinators to a waiting walker, and trigger a devastating and unexpected attack.

Luckily both soldiers carry a radio, so that if one is eliminated your artillery units can still rely on the other to complete their mission. But caution is still advised! While these squads can conceal themselves in any environment, they are vulnerable to attacks.

A targeted kill

Devastate your competition by eliminating a squad’s most vital member, leaving them vulnerable to further assaults. The Allied Crack Shots and the Axis Sniper Grenadiers are teams of two soldiers, one with the sniper ability and the other with the complementary spotter ability. In this partnership the spotter initially locates his companion’s target while he readies his high-precision sniper rifle, a weapon loaded with the same devastating .50 cal cartridges as tank rifles.

Use your soldier’s sniper ability to choose which member in a targeted squad receives the damaging shot. The sniper ability can deprive a squad of its most effective weaponry by killing the weapon’s carrier or it can take out an already wounded hero. His partner is not without his own cunning maneuvers; a soldier’s spotter ability allows his unit to reverse its attack roll, consider that miss a hit!

As with 18 Foxtrot and Beobachter , your sniper squads are fragile tools. Use them to effectively decimate the enemy before they are sacrificed in the line of duty.
