As the release of Cosmic Conflict approaches, it’s time for another look at one of the exciting new aliens that will be introduced. So far we have seen hazards and Filth, as well as the Saboteur and the Claw. Today we’ll sneak a peek at an interesting alien that grows more powerful by aiding his opponents.

Not all interstellar wars are won by completely alienating your competition. Often you can further your own interests by making common cause with those you would otherwise call your enemies. Some aliens have fully embraced this tactic by putting on a fake smile and reluctantly welcoming outsiders to earn their support. Other aliens have a natural affinity for strangers...awkwardly embracing foreign cultures.

The Xenophile is able to change the course of a battle when he has opposing colonies in his home system. This makes the Xenophile eager to please his opponents in order to make a later turn more powerful.

This particular ability can be a gamble, since letting too many other players set up camp in your home system is definitely not the best offense. However, since the Xenophile’s ability triggers off each foreign colony in your home system, it may just be a gamble that could pay out big time.
