Wings of War Leader Boardby SallyWe all like Wings of War. But what if you love Wings of War? I know of one place where love for the game is not only accepted, it's encouraged: The Adventure Game Store in Davie, Florida. The store's owner, Brian Dalrymple, has quite a little gem in the game room. Behold: The Wings of War leader board! 
Constructed by Rob Maxwell out of masonite, cotton fabric, paint, and twine, this replica biplane wing hangs proudly at The Adventure Game Store whenever a game of Wings of War is played. Which, in case you are interested, is just about every night. Kills for each player are tracked and then that player's pilot pin is advanced up the board. Brilliant.  
Not to be overshadowed, The Adventure Game Store is quite impressive itself. In addition to housing the coolest leader board I've ever seen, they happen to be a fully-stocked game shop with, count them: one thousand square feet of gaming. Not to mention the fact that they're starting a Descent league soon! Now that's a store after my own dungeon-delving heart. If you're ever in southern Florida and have a gaming itch to scratch, I recommend checking them out. The Adventure Game Store |
