July 2008 UFS Update
It's time for another month of exciting events and promos for UFS. Not only is July the fifth month of Path of the Master: Battle for the Thirteen Seals, but we will also will be releasing Lu Chen, the old master of ShadoWar! The Lu Chen Tag - In Brawl will be a great way to help bring in new players after UFS Set 9 releases. See more below for details. As always, sign up early (by June 18th for US events; June 16th for our international players).

The Lu Chen Tag-In Brawl
The Lu Chen Tag-In Brawl will be a great chance to highlight the Master and Apprentice scenario. Any existing player will need to bring in a new person, or "Apprentice", who hasn't yet played UFS in order to get the Lu Chen promo card. Lu Chen will be a participation prize for both the existing players who bring in a new person as well as for the new person who shows up to play. Existing players should construct two decks — one "Master" deck of any of the Boss Characters of any of our UFS licenses, and one Apprentice deck of any of the main "hero" characters of the game. The Apprentice's quest: to defeat the Boss!
This tournament should be Block 2 and diversity shouldn't be an issue, but Scouts should feel free to enforce as necessary.
The Chaos Event
The Chaos Event is the fifth event in the Path of the Master: Battle for the Thirteen Seals program.
For those unfamiliar with this program, every month in 2008 you can hit your local UFS venue and battle it out for a Resource of the Month patch. That patch will act as your ticket to a special tournament in early 2009. Each different patch you win gets you a copy of the special promo card only available at that event.
This month, the resource of the month is Chaos! Get to the event, place in the top 2 and get your patch. The newest cards entering the promo pool will also be available as prizes.
Decks must be constructed with every card sharing the Chaos resource symbol. Every card in your deck must have Chaos on it! First- and second-place finishers will receive patches for their victories! Scouts will receive their patches the following month provided they reported the event and had a four player minimum. This event is Block 2 Only!
