Captain Mad Danny
by John Goodenough and Dan Clark
Many Captains ply the waters of the Cerridor Sea, some brave, some shy, some wise, and some foolhardy. They vary widely in competence, temperament, and cleanliness, but only one of them is truly mad.
Captain Mad Danny's ship is a creaky and weathered piece of work in good repair but of ill reputation. She is battered and scuffed, her paint peeling, and the name on her prow is completely illegible. Mad Danny refers to her by whatever name pops into his head at the moment, and his crew are expected to know that the Unshaved Mermaid, Major Tom's Glory, and Staggering Peacock all refer to the vessel they're standing on.
Although his crew tolerate and even embrace Mad Danny's eccentricities, the rest of the Cerridor Sea do not; Mad Danny and his crew are barely better than pirates, going wherever the money is and not above attacking other ships when the whim strikes them.
But you don't mind that, do you?
Captain Mad Danny is an optional bonus captain for Runebound: Island of Dread.
To use Captain Mad Danny in your Island of Dread game, download and print this image. Since Captain Mad Danny begins the game face-up in Tarianor, you will not need to glue him to a Captain card or shuffle him into any deck, but gluing him to a piece of cardstock will make him easier to use in the game.
To print this image, you can simply right-click it and select "print picture." You can also left-click the picture to be taken to a high-resolution PDF, which will give you a crisper image. When you print the PDF, be sure that "fit to page" is not selected!
Note: If Captain Mad Danny is discarded by any effect, put him off to one side of the board. He is still considered to be "in a market stack" for the purposes of his ability.
