Secrets of Fire

Fireborn can be a game of action and adventure, or one of intrigue and darkness. Regardless of your campaign's take on the world of magical modern London or the ancient mythic age, however, one theme overrides all others: Discovery.

While countless cultures and their treasures and knowledge have been lost to the dusts of time, though cataclysmic rituals and dire conspiracies may lie waiting to be discovered, the greatest puzzle of Fireborn is the scions themselves. Are they mortal humans cursed with the godlike power, and therefore godlike responsibilities, of dragons? Or are they immortal dragons trapped in fragile human shells? And most of all, what is the source of the passionate fire that burns within them?

Players in a Fireborn campaign may actively search out the answers to these questions, or may have the answers thrust upon them. They may obsessively research the mythic age, using flashbacks to that mighty time to shape and define their own perceptions and actions; or they might be drawn thrashing and fighting into the past, thrust into situations beyond their control.  Regardless, it is the fire within that protects and guides them, and the secrets of fire are among the most powerful weapons a scion can bring to bear, in any age.

The Secrets of Fire is a new series of web enhancements expanding upon and investigating the world of Fireborn. It will be updated bi-weekly, and everything in the modern or mythic ages is fair game, including:

  • New "crunchy bits" like dragon breeds, edges, or spells
  • New setting material that outlines specific epochs in the mythic age or locations, NPCs, or power groups in the modern London
  • Bonus material like mythic age timelines, Fireborn wallpaper, character sheets, first glimpses at new Fireborn art, preview pages and material from upcoming products, and Fireborn fiction!
