Well, whatever, I just meant they were clearly paired. How did the test go?

I haven't played Legendre with another GOO; I needed to retry Dracula, anyway, I came off much worse the second time, thanks to being sent to the looney bin by Legendre's zombies. I'll give him a go with another GOO today.

I felt the play was better with the improved zombies, however, the experience was still harrowing.

Any Eternal Darkness fans out there? It made me a fan of Cthulu type stuff before I knew what Cthulu was. I wanted these guys to be pretty difficult, but I haven't been able to playtest them. Any feedback is quite welcome. Sadly the only pictures of the ancients I could find were YouTube screen captures. I'm also toying with a Pious Augustus herald.

Very cool! I wanted to do these as well but didn't have the time. Be sure to post Pious when you have him, although he was quite a pushover in the game . He should have different effects depending on which one of the three is the AO. I will definitely test these three and tell you how it went.
However, I think it Chattur'gha shouldn't be the one that uses the Terror level; that's more Xel'lotath's domain. So I suggest you switch the Start of Battle effect of the two and give Xel'lotath the ability to increase the Terror Track when a character goes insane (instead of lowering the Maximum Sanity of the investigators). I would also drop Chattur'gha's ability to increase the Terror level for something different.
I like how Ulyaoth works with spells, although his attack should also destroy spells instead of Stamina. His Start of Battle ability should then be that every Investigator without a spell is devoured. I would also change his slumber ability. Spells are already underused, with his ability they won't be used at all. He is Master of the Planes, so perhaps something to do with gates or OWs? How about Investigators may not use Fight to close gates? He is the embodiment of Mind over Matter, so it would fit.
Discarding a spell for failing a Horror check could also be his power, applying to all monsters, not only to Cultists (in addition to the normal horror damage, of course). I think he could even have both powers without being too strong.
When we know how Guardians work, Mantorok should be one, I think.
I also thought about introducing the four artifacts. Perhaps when the AO awakes, and the Investigators have all three artifacts opposed to that AO, they can opt to fight his nemesis instead (Ulyaoth instead of Chattur'gha and so on)? Perhaps you can gain them by using the Tome of Eternal Darkness somehow.
We could create a whole subset of cards centered around the game. Hmmm, so many possibilities...

Pious Augustus should be a combination of Herald and "Mask" monster.
Not a mask monster for Nyarlathotep, but one for when you battle the ancient ones.
I once had some notes for an Eternal Darkness expansion. I'll have to see what I did with them.

I found an AO version of pope Ratzinger on an Italian board.
it's very funny and nasty (cultists especially), but might sound a bit outrageous to those christians out there...
Do you think I could post it? I wouldn't have problems in translating it...

Found these at http://www.sectarios.org/foro/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=74.
They look amazing (art-wise) but require a translation due to it being in Spanish...
