Are there any templates for Investigator Cards and their playing pieces, or did you just do a scan?

If there are any available templates, I'd like to know. Would make a great addition for our playing group.

So, here's my first try:

Starting with press pass is very strong, and his ability is similar to Jenny, statistically

Thematically, I feel i have enough journal people with darrel, unless someone comes out with a very nice ability

EDIT: didn't want to blame you... I think it's always important to post investigators, someone could like those to... My investigator was totally ignored, so you're lucky

No problem, feedback is always appreciated especially if it is constructive. I tried him out and I had fun playing him, although I agree that he is similar to Jenny. The Press Pass, however, (which is his cool thing) tends to make him more of a gate closer, while Jenny tends to be a monster hunter due to her Fight/Will ratio and the ability to go shopping for a weapon immediately (at least that's how I play her).
I considered giving him a second ability, but I couldn't think of one that's appropriate; also, headlines tend to come up fairly often so his ability is quite powerful as it is.

Here's a second one, although I am not really satisfied with him. He's marked as unbalanced because there is no known value for monster trophies during character creation (I placed it as 1$ per toughness).

Feel free to post any feedback, both positive and negative.

I dunno, this guy looks a bit "unbalanced" . . .

I'll try to post another character of ours, hoping in a better welcome...
As always, we were very interested in creating an investigator that wasn't taken from HPL literature BUT that fit well in the 20's theme. Please meet Juicy Olive

Hey, have patience.

I like the undertaker. The abilities seem interesting and balanced and seem to match him. Next time I'm going to try him and then come back.

I'm not sure if the lady is a little underpowered. I don't normally play with allies so I don't know if her ability is enough. The allies I usually encounter are the ones that ask you to have some kind of trophies when the game is just starting, or ask for a fight check when I have a spell caster, or things like that. Have you played with it? Is it enough to compensate the low fight and lore?

The problem I see playing with both is that a gate to R'yleh will be devastating.

When you try out the Undertaker, be sure to tell me how it went. I did try him once but it was one of those games where everything just goes wrong. Of course he will have problems with a gate to R'lyeh, but not more so than some official characters. He's better at fighting monsters anyway.

@ Geki: I like Olive, especially her streetwise ability, although I am not sure a Prostitute is the right character for it. I also would give her an ally instead of the retainer.

Don't want to sound rude, but my question concerning "templates" for the investigator cards still stands. Do you ust scan them or are there any "empty" cads available for download?

Yarrick, these are all created using the Strange Eons program.

Excellent, thank you very much.

I'll guess you'll be going to see some of our playing group members as Arkham Horror charactes in a few days' time.

Isn't that insanely overpowered with absolutely NO permanent drawback, PLUS you have thrown in a copy of the reformed cultists ability to top it off! Wow... its the ultimate gate sealer... Sure you are down 3 sanity, but in a few turns you will gain all that back.

I think that giving a lore of 6 is just way to good, considering this guy will always have 5 clues and a very high ability to close with. To maintain any balance I would make lore 4 and fight 4, that way at least you knock down the ability to be a strong gate closer and always succeed at reading the king, as it seems to powerful to couple with what seems to be an unlimited supply of clue tokens.

If you grab that one card that lets you refresh and exhausted card, and duke, you could generate 8 clues per turn and sit at the asylum all game. Heck.. then throw in Coded Messages... what an awsome combo that would be... hrm..... maybe I'll try it as it is just once...

I agree, 4 fight and lore would work better.
