I hope you don't mind posting a brief bit about our sessions in the comments every now and then.

I suspect we are running fewer sessions, but our current group tends to move faster, so we may mostly parallel.

I've already introduced the odd 2nd edition concept of "good mutants" in our game. I suspect that this is the warmup for when one of them gets hit with a mutation.

I suspect by "good" you mean "dead" or "soon-to-be-dead" ?? Perhaps that's just my Paranoia RPG background kicking in... the only good mutant is a... you get the idea.

Tho' you do raise a point I have struggled with -- it's not like folks immediately succumb to the ravages of Chaos and go off serving the Ruinous Powers just as soon as the stigmata appears... There are references to folks fighting off the downward spiral for some time, or of families of mutants trying to still cling to a semblance of normalcy despite their mutations (I'm thinking of Talabheim as visited during the Blackheart's stay in the story Tainted Blood)...

What you say is ofcourse true. So it's up to you and all to do what one want's with it.
Out mentality and mindset is that: Mutants WILL in ALL cases succumb, so your doing them and the world a favour by slaying them, even if they have just gotten the first "symptons".
Besides, we always play our characters as ordinary people from the Old World, and to the ordinary people anyone even closely resembling a mutant should be killed on sight, again, our view of the setting.

I hope you don't mind posting a brief bit about our sessions in the comments every now and then.

No problem at all I'd be glad to see you keep them in the comments on the Blog, but not in this thread, thanks!

Just a quick de-lurk to say I just started reading your blog... good stuff.

Thank you. I'm sure they will dig the campaign, and isn't it always nice to start from scratch after a while?

Nice session frequency. Wait, scratch that. Amazing frequency! A session every week, how I envy that...

Keep up the good work

I just want to put a flag up for my The Thousand Thrones-blog.

The goal, ofcourse, is to keep updating it as often as possible as the play moves forward. It should be quite often since we tend to play once each week.

Just started reading the blog, looks really interesting. Hopefully Fantasy Flight will reprint The Thousand Thrones so more people will play it. keep posting, it's a great read.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and so the two questions I want to ask may already have been answered but please bare with me.

1) is there a write up of the PCs involved in this blog?
2) is TTT still available and if not will it ever be again?

Thanks.

Exactly what are you looking for? You'll have to explain "write up" to me.

On I side note, I am sorry there has been so little activity on this blog for a long, long time. But real life and other games has come between these last months.

Well, their careers, their backgrounds, what careers they are progressing towards, that sort of thing. Reading your blogs like a story, it's good to have some characterisation, to make it easier to invest in the characters.

Excellent points. However since the campaign is sadly on a hiatus again, I will consider this when we take it up again.

Hi LG,

Just wanted to say I really enjoy following your groups progress through this adventure.

I'm currently running the campaign myself (and have put up the adventure log on this site as well), and have found your little changes very helpful for my own game. Particularly because they have a simular make up as we have a noviate of sigmar in the group.

The adventure doesn't take this into consideration (although it's not difficult to incorporate) but already I have seen the possibilities of a more indepth interaction with the many Sigmar faithful involved in this campaign!

I also have a squire (a third son of a noble and so wont inherit) which will be pretty good for the Pfeifldorf part of the adventure...

Hope you get back to playing this game soon as personally I think it's the best warhammer adventure out there...!

The idea isn't second edition but can be found in some of the first edition stuff as well. Also, some of the fiction fromt the early nineties has the idea, one with that playwright springs to mind, a dwarf or something. It's been years...

I think I'll keep the friendly mutants in because I want to pose this difficult situation to my players to see how they react...

I think the Sigmar kill everything that moves is sometimes exaggerated a bit by players of warhammer and I want them to have to ponder moral issues.
(and I have the Austin Powers asides on the poor henchmen he kill in mind..!)

Lurking on this topic for a while now - I've recently started the campaign myself, and I've been blogging it as we progress here

Thought I'd post here to say thanks for the thoughts given so far, and to return the favour by sharing my version with you guys
