look up some steam train webpages, that give some idea on how far wood in firebox will go

were do you come from?

1) always use real world were you can in RPG
2) never put "IT" in the game if you do not what the players to have it
3) the rules are interface between you and the players

Its not a bad start

Anyone have a copy of "Twilight 2000" - that had stats for vehicle ranges for both normal petrol or if using home made bio-fuels

I remember that from school. home-made alcohol needed about 3 times as much fuel per mile as diesel.

This was before the whole bio-diesel craze so there's no mention of that. Then again, bio-diesel is a bit harder to make in the field.
