Very useful information about card sizes.

Strange Eons makes investigator cards that are 5 in x 7.03 in. (Older versions make cards that are slightly smaller.)

The problem is that people don't post the resolution they have exported the cards at. This is necessary to convert the image (which is measured in dots, or pixels) to the correct physical size. The correct resolution and print size are listed in the readme file included in the .zip archive.

The ideal way to share cards would be to post a preview image along with a link to the .eon file. Then they could be printed at full resolution (and correct size) from the program, as well as used as a basis for further editing.

Anyway, to answer the original question: here are the "correct" sizes for images exported from Strange Eons (allowing for any mistakes I may have made in the arithmetic).

By correct, I mean that I have taken the size of the template image (in pixels) and divided by the resolution (150 DPI). These sizes may be slightly different from the size of actual cards---but they will be very close to the actual size, and they are the sizes that Strange Eons would print the cards at. All measurements are width x height and accurate to 2 decimal places.

Card Type Template Size
(pixels) Print Size
(in) Print Size
(cm)
Investigator 750 x 1055 5.00 x 7.03 12.70 x 17.86
Investigator Marker 192 x 273 1.28 x 1.82 3.25 x 4.62
Ancient One 752 x 1044 5.01 x 6.96 12.73 x 17.68
Investigator card (item, spell, etc.) 241 x 378 1.61 x 2.52 4.08 x 6.40
Ancient One card (mythos, other world encounter, etc.) 336 x 531 2.24 x 3.54 5.69 x 8.99
Herald 1013 x 615 6.75 x 4.10 17.15 x 10.41
Monster 208 x 208 1.39 x 1.39 3.52 x 3.52

Cheers,
Chris

PS Anybody got the combat stats for Children on Yig. There only seems to be one side of the monster.

Hello,everyone.
In honor of the great movie I have made the monster as a ancient one.The babies are included here as well.
I hope this works as I have never done this before.

First of all, let me say that I like the arts you choose a lot, also for investigators.
Second, it's always a pleasure to me seeing some "serious" custom investigators and heralds/goo (i.e. not "batman" or "mandrake")

About the herald: seems too weak, couldn't you boost the zombies a little? Otherwise they are not a problem to anybody and the all meaning of the herald would be reduced to "add 1 terror for each surge", powerful but mechanically poor. I know that not all heralds appear to be balanced (KiY seems to our group a lot more powerful than the other 2) but trust me, this is a piece of cake compared to others

About Dracula; I love the worshipers and slumbering ability, but I don't like the start of battle: remember that dunwich came with a lot of strong undead monster and, considering that some investigators have only three sanity points. The secondary ability of the attack means that after three or four rounds of combat Dracula will be almost unbeatable (Investigators will be throwing only one or two dices each to prevent him to regenerate). Do you think it would be possible to change in "if at least one investigator fails the check, add a doom token"? Anyway, goo's battle abilities are not supposed to be balanced and Dracula has 13 dooms, so if you feel him to be right, it could be ok.
