Does anyone else see cthulhu in the FFG website background? When it goes all blue while loading the editor I'm sure he's there in shadow...

Or am I on this site too much?

I only see a floating spined fetus, oddly enough. Must be the same thing.

Oh, I meant like those spiky thingies which some fantasy creatures seem to bear as extrusions from their spinal cord. Like a full-body mohawk of spikes, trailing down the spine.

nice. you wonder how those monsters are born...cos that would hurt on the way out. like the baby in star trek with the spines on its forehead.

Well, porcupines are born with (flattened) bristly hair which hardens into spines later. Maybe the mechanism would be the same....

If not, the mother could give birth to multiple offspring, compensating for her death. The young could even eat her afterwards, having extra nourisment. Try looking at the startrek-baby that way .

I'm pretty sure the spawn would eat me if he could. Feels that way!

Does anybody else see something in the background?

Thanks Malechi for pointing out my madness.

I was on the verge of inviting Kaz round to my house so I could point it out to him (?).

Dodged that bullet!

hah, now I see Cthulhu too, formed by the shadows in the background of the symbols! I usually only see the symbols on the sides of the forum, so a particularly darkly obscured symbol was what I had it mind with my fetus thing.

Ouch! Can anybody help me take this knife out of my back? And I may need medical attention for this other knife in my heart. Any where did all these bullet wounds come from? And why does my groin feel like someone kicked them?

And yes, Kaz is a he. The sudden pain in my groin proves that. Thanks, friend.

And for the record, I still don't see it. All I see is a Rorschach splotch that could mean anything, or nothing at all, if you don't subscribe that area of psychology.

Rorschach? Time to quote "Watchmen"!

"I sat on the bed.
I looked at the Rorschach blot.
I tried to pretend it looked like a spreading tree, shadows pooled beneath it, but it didn't. It looked more like a dead cat I once found, the fat, glistening grubs writhing blindly, squirming over each other, frantically tunneling away from the light.
But even that is avoiding the real horror. The horror is this: In the end, it is simply a picture of empty meaningless blackness.
We are alone.
There is nothing else."

Yeah. The preview that was released a while ago aleviated some of my worries, so I'm also hopeful that it will turn out well.

Well, the image reminds me of an encounter at the Newspaper I tend to draw with a frequency of about 80%:

and are aghast at the pattern the ink forms
on the newsroom floor. Lose 1 Sanity.

Alright, I see an overhead shot of a frog, facing left. But that's ALL that I see.
