Wasn't Death & Glory renamed to "The Reaper"?

Well, you can only speculate, but I'd think that if there were using a copy of old Talisman content they would also use the same expansion naming, to signal that they are related.

They chose another name, so I suspect we will see something new in 2009 (knowing FFG delays).

The artwork looks very Anime-sh!. Which I like, but isn't the normal Talisman feel.

And the guy on the right looks like the Paladin out of Diablo II.

Glad to see they seemingly have scrapped the term "combat" and replaced it with "battle" as per the 3rd edition. Should stop a lot of people getting confused

Notice from the picture that the figures are plain grey and not coloured or painted. Are we to assume from this that we are to paint these characters ourselves.

Will there be a colour plan so we know how the figures are to be painted and the availability of the paint ?

Still, lots of questions to be answered.

I guess you will know the colour scheme to use by looking at the character cards, as with 1st/2nd and 3rd Editions.

The figures for the expansion look to be much higher quality then the figures that are being made for the main game. I hope they'll look okay next to each other.

I agree with Arfi on the Philosopher and Merchant. The other guy might just be a boring old knight, the girl on the other hand could be anything. Necromancer, some kind of Shaman, or even a Masked Super Hero Sorceress.

wait, what?

how do you get confused by the word "combat" and not by "battle" when they mean the same thing?

Why so serious?

Well I don't get confused but other people get confused when cards add to their roll in combat and think it means psychic combat as well. At least if says add 1 in battle then it's clear it's not talking about psychic combat

It's the same thing really, people will get confused and think it's Psychic Battle. The word they needed to add is "Physical". Although, I am then sure people will confuse "Physical" and 'Psychic".

Battle and Psychic Combat is the terminology used; all cards in the game use this format.

They cannot be confused with each other.

I love this style of expansion. It's mostly more of what we already love, plus one extra little mechanic to rev things up. Nothing drastically game changing or cumbersome (like extra boards). Plus, it's more affordable this way.

I'm really looking forward to FFG's version of the game and their expansions.
