The 2012 FFG National Championships

Another step up from our Regional Championships, our North American and European National Championships are highly competitive, top-level events that draw participants from locations far and wide. These championship events feature unique, high-level prize support and provide players their final chances to win first-round byes and free entry to our FFG World Championship Weekend in November (see Welcome to the Winner's Circle below for more details).

The 2012 North American Championships will be held at Gen Con Indy, August 16th-19th. Players will travel from great distances to compete in our tournaments for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game, and Dust Tactics. We will also hold the first Dust Warfare North American Championship at Gen Con Indy, as well.

In addition to the North American Championship Tournaments scheduled at Gen Con this year, there will be exciting side events for both LCGs and miniatures during the weekend. Join us at Gen Con 2012 and make your mark at FFG's North American Championships!

Welcome to the Winner's Circle

In addition to first-round byes and free entry at the FFG World Championship Weekend, we’re continuing to offer Gen Con tournament winners the most imaginative prize in gaming – the overall North American Champion for each LCG wins the chance to work with our developers to design an LCG card. The overall champion of each LCG at the annual Castle Stahleck tournament will also have the opportunity to design cards in conjunction with our LCG developers. These cards will enter the card pool in a standard LCG release, forever immortalizing that player's accomplishment and their contribution to the game.

Furthermore, we are truly excited by the possibilities opening up for European champions, and by extension, all players world-wide. The decision to schedule our World Championship event in the Fall was not taken lightly. After careful consideration of the European Tournament schedule that runs in the Summer and Fall, it became apparent that this timeframe would be necessary in order to get champions in Europe to join us at Worlds.

Our partners in France, Germany, and Spain have already made arrangements to send their national champions to the FFG World Championship Weekend, making this a truly global event. We look forward to seeing them, and you, in Roseville, Minnesota this November!
