The Latest Chapter Pack for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game is Now Available
|A Game of Thrones LCG | Published 02 September 2009|
This expansion deepens the King's Landing set's featured “Shadows” mechanic with cards that leap from the Shadows at opportune moments like Maester Malleon's Tome and The Red Keep, and cards that play off of Shadows effects like Maegery Tyrell and the Dragon Pit. Fan-favorite characters like The Queen of Thorns and Syrio Forel return in this expansion in new and deadly forms.
Returning once again is House Martell's most dangerous champion, Prince Oberyn Martell, also known as The Red Viper. In this incarnation of The Red Viper, high strength combines with the ability to participate in any challenge. Just as dangerous is the looming threat of his death. Should The Red Viper die, all characters in play die. To any opponent, the question must be: which is worse? The Red Viper alive or The Red Viper dead? Find out when this Martell Prince hits the table.
Now that Tales from the Red Keep is available, take care as you proceed through the shadows of King's Landing - as this set continues to expand, you will never know what might be hiding in them!
Based on George R.R. Martin's bestselling fantasy epic, A Song of Ice and Fire, A Game of Thrones: The Card Game brings the beloved heroes, villains, locations, and events of the world of Westeros to life through innovative game mechanics and the highly strategic game play. The Living Card Game™ format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Chapter Pack expansions to the core game.
Hopefully, Margaery Tyrell will have the Queen keyword - and with The Queen of Thorns this Chapter Pack is essential for Tyrell theme decks!!
I don't think giving this Viper either Deadly or Renown would have been too much. As is, he's pretty average with a situational ability. Cool art though, and it's Oberyn, so I'll play him. :-)
Please tell us something about GEARS OF WAR: THE BOARD GAME, we are waiting so so much. Just a bit information please...
