Seemed in the end, the rat did indeed smell.

I have to say I am somewhat excited about this product. Now, I'm not a Warhammer player, and never played WFRP before, but the approach they have taken to this game appeals to me alot more than D&D4e. Between this, Invasion and Chaos Marauders it appears that FFG is really trying to promote Warhammer as a product line, and I can see that bringing more people into both the universe and the games.
Besides, if the 2E players don't like the new system, nothing stops you from playing the old version.
