A Light In The Darkness 5
A sneak peek at the special features on the Midnight Chronicles DVD!
Midnight Chronicles | Published 04 August 2009

The Shadow, the vile manifestation of the dark god Izrador’s corrupting influence, has oppressed mankind for a century... but heroes still live, and they strive desperately for the liberation of all races. Hope remains, whispered in taverns and alleys... the day will come again.

The upcoming Midnight Chronicles DVD is the culmination of years of work by cast and crew. We are proud to see this project realized. Now we get to share our trials and triumphs with you! The DVD features the movie, a new Midnight RPG adventure (fully compatible with Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition), and a full behind the scenes featurette.

Midnight - From Game to Movie
Midnight Chronicles tells the story of the legate – a priest dedicated to the Shadow – named Mag Kiln, who has been ordered to travel to the small town of Blackweir to investigate the disappearance of a fellow priest. Blackweir is a unruly and dangerous place, where a corrupt mayor lines her purse through her own cunning, a mysterious resistance leader known only as “The Hunter” defends the townsfolk while hiding a dark secret, and a simple farm boy begins to discover his own untapped potential.

Along with his acerbic and roguish companion Kruce, Mag Kiln soon becomes entangled in an old mystery and begins to uncover not only the forbidden legacy of the town, but also the malevolent, prophetic force that grows within him.

Complete "Midnight" adventure moddule for use with 4th Edition Dungeons and Dragons
This new scenario for a four player party of first level heroes is set deep in the heart of Blackweir, prior to the events in the Midnight Chronicles movie. Players will get a chance to interact with some of the characters found in the film, such as Loren and Gaelen Landring, Madame Lesher, and Grimnor. Each party will have a choice of using their own first level characters or using one of four pre-generated characters found within the adventure.

Taking place over 3 chapters, The Heart of Erenland will pit heroes against the Fell, reanimated creatures intent on destroying the living; and Shadow Orcs, strong and intelligent creatures that swell the ranks of the Shadow. As each layer of the mystery is revealed, players will be forced to adapt on the fly and decide how far they are willing to go.

Very interesting that the adventure is 4th Edition D&D compatible.   Hopefully they will announce more about the future path for Midnight when Midnight Chronicles ships.
