Call of Cthulhu LCG | Published 12 June 2009

Interested in learning to play the Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game?  We have prepared a wonderful video tutorial designed to prevent your sanity from shattering. The tutorial is split into ten 1-2 minute segments. They can be watched sequentially to learn the card game in around 16 minutes, or individually if you want a refresher on a particular phase. To run the tutorial click on the "play" image underneath the tutorial header on support page of the Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game page, and the Flash player will load.

H.P. Lovecraft’s revered horror legacy comes to life in the Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game. Choose a side in this no-holds-barred fight for your mind and your life. Tentacled horrors too awful to mention, brave investigators doing whatever it takes to prevent this evil from forcing its way into our reality, and the Ancient Ones staring malevolently down upon the playing field at all times will force you to decide what is really important. Do you take up arms and fight these terrible foes until your dying breath? Or do you bow down before your evil masters and further their cause to wipe out all of humanity?

If only we could see the old school tutorial circa 2005.

I am glad to see a tutorial of such fine quilty being made. I was able to show this to several people and they enjoy the ease of the mechanics due to the tutorial explanation.

It makes it so much easier to decide on purchasing a product when such is offered to the consumers. Thanks.

I like what you've done here.  I think the tutorials are very well done, and it's a brilliant way of teaching the game to new players.  I'm going to test this out on a few of my friendsI think it'll really help me get them into the game.

By the way, are there plans to do this sort of video tutorial for other games?  Have some already been done?  I know it would certainly influence my decision to purchase a game.

The production on this is absolutely stellar. As a graphic design and video editing guy, I concur with darkkami.

However, from a structural standpoint I'm curious why the neutral cards aren't explained in the Setup video, especially with regard to incorporating them into your deck using only the base game.

Congratulations on a very impressive high quality tutorial. The graphics are great, the highlighting and zooming in is great. The lesson is clear. The division of sections makes sense. The game looks good. It takes place in Lovecraft Country mostly, but every one would rather hear an accent.

Never heard of a choo choo talisman. The tutorial does not mention that characters with a terror icon can not be driven insane. Success tokens are not removed in the tutorial after the story is won. But they do disappear.

This is an amazing tutorial. I wish I had a local group to play this game with - I think it's the best collectible card game on the market (and yes, I know who the competition are!).
