"Ssserve the Queenn!"
— General RAAM

Savage and merciless, General RAAM has led his specially chosen Locust warriors since Emergence Day, decimating the Coalition of Ordered Governments in battle after battle. Now, the time has come to face him in a final showdown.

Gears of War(TM): The Board Game captures the action-packed excitement of the wildly popular video game series. Now, you can enhance your experience with Mission Pack 1, available through our webstore! With nearly forty new cards, this Print on Demand expansion pits players against six all new enemies in two of the most challenging and exciting Gears of War: The Board Game missions yet.

The two new scenarios in Mission Pack 1 deliver all the tense action fans have come to expect from Gears of War: The Board Game. In "Search for the Stranded," the COGs must work together to rescue an isolated scavenger while recovering his valuable cache of ammunition and supplies. Then, in "The Showdown," the COGs must overcome a savage Berserker before facing off against none other than General RAAM himself!

This, along with nineteen new Locust AI Cards, six Enemy Cards, and four Special Weapon Cards, brings entirely new possibilities to your Gears of War: The Board Game experience.

What is Print on Demand?

Print on Demand is an exciting new process that allows Fantasy Flight Games to produce professionally finished cards on a made-to-order basis, which opens up new opportunities for expanding existing games.

This process (not to be confused with Print and Play) results in smaller print runs of professionally manufactured products, allowing publishers to provide fans with content that would otherwise not be commercially viable. If you’re a retailer interested in carrying our Print on Demand products, visit our Professional Zone website to learn more.

A Message From Headquarters

With more on Gears of War: The Board Game Mission Pack 1, here’s a word from designer Brady Sadler:

Gears of War: The Board Game is all about cooperation and seemingly insurmountable to four super soldiers against a constantly swarming horde of Locust scum. Mission Pack 1 was designed to focus on both of these concepts in exciting new ways. Of the two new missions included in this expansion, one focuses on the strategic cooperation between the COGs and a lonely scavenging Stranded that needs rescued. Even when playing solo, you'll need to be ready to throw yourself into the line of fire to protect your ally! The other mission is all about being the underdog—pitting players against the combined power of an alternate Berserker and the infamous war-leader himself, General RAAM.

We hope that Mission Pack 1 brings even more thrills and replayability to your Gears of War: The Board Game experience. Head to our webstore now to order yours!

Note: Due to variations in the printing process, cards from Print on Demand expansions will be subtly different in appearance and texture from base game cards.

Gears of War: The Board Game, designed by Corey Konieczka, is based on the wildly popular third-person shooter by Epic Games. One to four players take on the roles of COG soldiers cooperating to destroy the Locust horde, and must work together to complete missions against an ingeniously challenging and varied game system.
