Premium painted Arkham Horror Monster Figures are now available
Arkham Horror Premium Figures | Published 17 January 2012

It seemed to be a sort of monster [...] of a form which only a diseased fancy could conceive. [...] A pulpy, tentacled head surmounted a grotesque and scaly body with rudimentary wings; but it was the general outline of the whole which made it most shockingly frightful.
     – H.P. Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu

Otherworldly horrors tear at the thin fabric of reality, seeking to intrude on our dimension for their own inscrutable purposes. To look upon their terrifying forms is to risk insanity, for these shapeless beasts have a strange, almost mesmerizing beauty. Those unfortunate individuals who lay eyes on such cosmic abominations are often drawn inexplicably toward them, and into their own merciful demise.

Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce that the first wave of premium Arkham Horror Monster Figures is now available for sale through our webstore! Joining the already complete lineup of Arkham Horror Investigators, these stunning hand-painted figures will further enhance the visual impact of your favorite Lovecraftian board game. What's more, each monster's base is designed with a slot to accommodate its monster token from Arkham Horror or Mansions of Madness!

First through the gate

Wave One, the harbingers of a far greater invasion, includes eighteen blood-curdling creatures and minions with which to challenge your investigators. From the wormlike Chthonian to the axe-wielding Maniac, from the predatory Hound of Tindalos to the sanity-shattering Dunwich Horror, Arkham Horror Monster Figures will immerse you in cosmic terror.

Visit our Arkham Horror Premium Figures website to see the full lineup (you can see larger versions of each figure through our webstore). Then, place your order and bring these unholy abominations to your tabletop!

Note to Retailers: Due to the manufacturing costs of these figures, we are unable to offer this Fantasy Flight Collector product through normal distribution channels. Is it possible to get them un-painted with lower price ?

Published: 1/18/2012 3:56:55 AM

not just too expensive but impractical. How will you fit 6+ monsters on Wizards Hill when the Mythos surges on turn 1? Or the sky. They are going to spill over into other board spaces or off it entirely, so identifying where they are becomes a headache. The streets are only going to be a little less crowded.

This looks like a setup for a collectors edition. They are lovely though.

Almost for sure I'll get every painted monster.

OT: Finally I get contacted by FFG ,didn't knew they were undergoing a structural change, so finally I will get my replacements.

And thank you The Spaniard^^

These look great! I'm considering to get a bunch of them to use in the RPG. I don't own MoM and I think trying to use them in AH would be too expensive - there's just too many monsters in that game (considering all expansions).

Just because I've seen it mentioned here.  I received an email from FFG at 4:45 PM Pacific Time today, Jan. 17th.  It was nice letter reiterating the problems, apologizing for the delay in response time, and listing what's included in the replacements.  In all honesty, FFG has fallen all over themselves to tell the public they're sorry about this.  If they keep this up it could almost be considered embarrassing!

:D :D :D

In all honesty, that's actually quite debatable.

But ok, let's assume for a moment that such a statement dripping with strawman fallacy is true.
How does that invalidate criticism towards MoM?
Now only Reiner Knizia can point out flaws in game design?
And rather obvious ones at that?

It doesnt take Doctor-Mathlete-Of-The-Hallowed-Pasted-On-Theme to be able to see such and speak of them.

The point was not criticism of the game, but the blind defense mechanisms set on full power when people think their sacred cow has been attacked and causes them libelous injury by proxy.

 Honestly Hellfury: Get over it.

They screwed up. Not going to deny that one. But they fixed/are fixing it.

Still better than any games you have made.

The slots on the monster figures were especially designed to work with both MoM and Arkham Horror. Use the chit to randomize in a bag/up and slide in the figure once drawn. All the info is right there.

McManus, sorry about no replies. You didn't even get an auto-reply? As outlined, the FA alchemy replacement parts will take 10 weeks or so to manufacture, but you should have gotten a reply regardless (even if this is the busy season after Xmas for that department).

"Arkham works "properly." So does, Mansions,"

Arkham works great. But I dont see the CEO of FFG apologizing on numerous occassions and on numerous sites for the state of Arkham Horror.

Mansions of Madness on the other hand... Mansions of Madness has the truly amazing capacity for giving jingoist FFG apologists something to clamor to FFG's defense over.

FFG keep screwing Mansions of Madness up. Even the CEO of FFG admits it.

On topic however, very cool new models.

I am skeptical of their use in Arkham Horror, but if people want to use them in that game more power to them and to FFG for providing that service to them and making a profit. They give me hope that somewhere down the line Mansions of Madness will somehow work as intended instead of a masterfully made mess and get access to cool models such as these.

Great, I just wish they answer my emails, as I have the first print of Forbidden Alchemy(which it's really borked), I sent like 3 emails already the first one 10 days ago, and I didn't get the replacement not even a reply.

So, I was used to buy almost all from FFG, at any other point I should be excited about this minis, but not now.

Sorry for the off topic =/

No offence Sepayne71 but it's like buying some car seat covers for your car that doesn't have any wheels!

A little negative? yes it was

Disappointed with my purchases in MOM? yes I am

Losing faith? yes
