”Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don’t look like mutton again tomorrer,” said one of the trolls.
“Never a blinking bit of manflesh have we had for long enough,” said a second.
As the heroes of Middle-earth continue their search for Gollum through the lands along the Anduin river, news reaches them of a fearsome band of trolls that have embarked upon a rampage near the Carrock. Conflict at the Carrock introduces a brand new scenario and encounter set that pit the heroes of Middle-earth against several brawny trolls in a brutal battle.
Confict at the Carrock also grants players several new cards to increase their deck-building options, including the hero, Frodo Baggins (Conflict at the Carrock 25). New allies, attachments, and events broaden the available card base while simultaneously allowing players to dive deeper into their favorite spheres of influence.
Grimbeorn the Old
Glóin had much to tell of events in the northern regions of Wilderland. Frodo learned that Grimbeorn the Old, son of Beorn, was now the lord of many sturdy men, and to their land between the Mountains and Mirkwood neither orc nor wolf dared to go.

Combat with one troll can prove a daunting challenge to a player, so how might you be able to survive a melee with the four unique trolls from Conflict at the Carrock?
It helps to find an ally in Grimbeorn the Old (Conflict at the Carrock 37). The son of Beorn is a powerful combatant and may provide you the edge you need to drive the trolls back to the mountains. Because he does not need to exhaust to defend against Troll enemies, Grimbeorn the Old can help hold the trolls at bay long enough for your heroes to cut away at their strength. But you’ll have to act quickly. Even Grimbeorn the Old’s health and stamina won’t hold forever against trolls at full strength.
Send in the reinforcements
Buy your copy of Conflict at the Carrock today to send the heroes of Middle-earth to aid Grimbeorn the Old and rid the Carrock of menacing trolls. Conflict of the Carrock is available at your local retailer and on our webstore.
The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game is a cooperative card game that puts 1-2 players (or up to four with an additional Core Set) in control of the most powerful characters and artifacts of Middle-earth. Players will select heroes, gather allies, acquire artifacts, and coordinate their efforts to face Middle-earth’s most dangerous fiends. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Adventure Pack expansions to the core game.
The Carrock begins in the staging area; the card text means you have to wait until you reveal a quest card that says "make The Carrock the active location" until it can ever become the active location. Until then, it just sits there ignoring card effects and contributing 2 Threat against you.
Please explain the limitation on traveling to the carrock. It says you can only travel there by way of quest cards. What does that mean?
