Well, it's available in Germany at "Die Spiel" exhibit right now (50€) ;)
Well.. amazon might be wrong... After all they have Demon Hunter for DH set to be released at the same time as BC, ie Jan 12 2012... But since I have tangible proof that that one is out... [shrugs]... Also it would be funny to release the GM screen before the core product..
Ship my copy to the place I pre-ordered from.. NOOOOW!! :P
No iku, you're not crazy. I just don't know what FFG is thinking by announcing this game, then throwing it into shipped status for what might be SIX MONTHS.
Amazon now says January 10, 2012. Maybe we're running on a different timeline here, but that's Q1 2012, not Q3 2011. That's a pretty big delay to have no announcement for, right? Am I crazy to think that?
lol nice. It sounds like a good enough plan.
You know what would be nice? if FFG stopped giving us silly "HEY GUYS! LOOK AT THIS DISTRACTING SPOTLIGHT ABOUT A GAMING STORE IN A COMPLETELY SEPARATE STATE" and started giving us answers...
I'm just sayin'... because I WILL start my own, real life Black Crusade and coalesce all of you loyal followers of the Ruinous Powers and we will march on their HQ (which I will now code-name "the Imperial Palace" for hilarity/irony sake). Once there, I will begin the ultimate plan of semi-comical semi-creeper harassment and drunken fury until someone either gifts all of us with the books, or they give us all free copies of the Limited Edition for waiting so long.
I try my best. Personally i am going to come close to death through mortal combat and be interred inside a dreadnought, so when i finally receive a copy i would be doubly mad from the millenia of semi-conscious dreaming and waiting.
Kasatka, that was perhaps the best response I have ever seen. It never occurred to me that they're ACTUALLY building our rage to the point of frothing madness when I kick the door down at my local gaming store the day (nay, the MOMENT) they get this in. I think I might have to revise my character ideas from Word Bearers Dark Apostle to a World Eaters Berzerker just because I feel that way now.
They are making us wait 10 thousand years for it to arrive in shops so we know just how it feels to be a crazy chaos marine veteran of the heresy!
Dear FFG,
I have once again come home from work to be disappointed yet again at the status of this product. Once again, it has been "On the Boat". I have a few questions...
...Is the boat lost? Did the crew read this amazing tome and realize the awesome that it contains, submit to the Pantheon of Chaos and disappear into a warp rift amidst the high seas? I think I could have fought the entirety of a campaign, brought the light of Chaos to the Imperium of Man, shown the Inquisition why they were wrong about the False Emperor, and gone out to watch every Lord of the Rings movies a hundred times and this would STILL be "on the boat". I humbly request that someone explains what is going on here. This boat has been in transit for far too long. Unless they went through the Bermuda Triangle, I don't think it has been in transit this long. The community at large and I have been patiently saving money that would normally go to normal adult human responsibilities like rent and our spouses, only to discover that we have been thwarted by what seems to be a crew pirates and brigands on said boat intent on our sadness and despair. Amazingly enough, there are character sheets on the BC support page. This development beguiles me as about .02% of us actually have the core book. I have called my local gaming store and they know even less than I do (which astounds me further). Don't tell me I need to track this ship down like Sam Fisher, get on it like in the Expendables, and find out what is going on and where they've been like a member of the Spanish Inquisition (or Imperial Inquisition, for that matter), cause I'm waaaayyy too lazy to do that. But seriously, this is getting kinda silly. "Expected by August" is what this website says. I'd very much like to know why it's not here.
Sincerely,
The-people-who-want-to-buy-your-stuff-and-continue-to-by-your-stuff-because-you-make-good-on-your-promises-and-normally-don't-make-us-wait-for-what-seems-like-ten-thousand-years

I got mine at GenCon! Awesome book!
My ninja shopper is going to be busy at GenCon this year.
I asked in my own FLGS last night, and was told September. I'm on the European side of the pond as well, so it's possible we're a bit behind the US on a release.
