Based on George R. R. Martin’s bestselling A Song of Ice and Fire novels, this internationally beloved game places players in charge of the six Great Houses of Westeros, where they must unseat the other Houses and claim sole dominance over a continent shattered by war and political upheaval. By mustering and sustaining massive armies, conquering territory, vying for power, and forming fragile alliances, each player will aim to ultimately control the most castles and strongholds, affirming him as the peoples’ chosen leader and rightful king. It includes elements from the A Clash of Kings and A Storm of Swords expansions, including ports, garrisons, Wildling cards, and Siege engines, while introducing welcome new innovations like player screens and Tides of Battle cards. Sounds exciting. I always wanted a 1st ed. but didn't like the absence of Dorne, nor did I want to get an "overlay" in expansion one... or the mini-game of expansion 2. This looks like my perfect storm. A blizzard has come.

Awesome news and cant wait to demo it at GenCon....man, the rate FFG is going I might never leave their booth!!
But I do wonder...

...so this means that all 3 original games are now in one game? I would love it all in one package and am assuming so....

This is awesome! I've wanted to pick this up for a long time, and I'll be checking out the demo at GenCon. Wish I could pick up a copy at GenCon... oh well.

I was so bummed when I sold my 1st edition copy and then the show came out and everybody suddenly was a fan. Now I can not only get a copy again for a more reasonable price, but its updated with a 2nd edition awesomeness? Pure win FFG. Surprised you didn't announce this sooner though. I wonder how many people regret overpaying for 1st edition on ebay.
