Announcing The Iron Rock, a Battle Pack for Warhammer: Invasion
Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game | Published 13 July 2011

The goblin hopped down from the shoulders of the orc when they arrived at the clearing, and reaching into his robes pulled out a pinch of mushroom seeds. Crouching down in the middle of the Teef, he carefully buried them and began to draw strange glyphs over where they lay. Gurnak watched, excitement rumbling in his belly. He could almost taste the mindblowing power of the seeds, once the ritual was finished. The chanting of Azo with his strange, sing-song rhythm made the hairs on the orc’s back stand up. Tendrils of fog began to swirl around the shaman, and then wrap themselves around the teeth of Mork. Gurnak could feel the energy, the sacred power of the Great Green.

A horde of Orcs has gathered at The Iron Rock, eager for fightin’, slayin’ and lootin’. No land is safe when the Greenskins go to war...

Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of The Iron Rock, the third Battle Pack in The Capital Cycle for Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game! With half of its cards devoted to the warmongering greenskins, The Iron Rock is an invaluable Battle Pack for players of the stunty-smashin’ Orc horde. In this exciting expansion, the Orcs continue to bring the fight to their foes with inexpensive cards like Snotling Ambush (right).

Standing against the greenskins

Not an Orc player? Fans of other races will also find a variety of useful tactics, units, and support options. While a Blessing of Asuryan shines down upon the High Elves’ greatest mages, the vile Beastman Shaman feeds on the corruption of his allies. Meanwhile, the Bretonnian Black Knight engages in some offensive questing, and the Burial Mound gives the forces of the undead a new source of power! Look for more (for all six races) as we preview The Iron Rock in coming weeks.

The Greenskin horde is gathering under a banner of war, and unless they are stopped, their Waaagh! will leave the Old World in ruins. Look for The Iron Rock on store shelves in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game is a card game by Eric M. Lang in which 2 players develop their kingdoms and lay waste to their foes. Each side is comprised of either the forces of Order or the forces of Destruction as they seek to extend their empire to include the entire Old World. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Battle Pack expansions to the core game.

Along with Snotling Pump Wagon, this begs a serious question: can snotlings talk?

Hey FFG, when is the new "card of every two or three weeks" coming along? I wish the support for WHI would have stayed the way it was, or the way "lord of the rings" is getting your attention now. For me collecting new cards was THE reason to carry on with the game. But everytime I check your newssection, my need for new cards is getting smaller and smaller...

Orcs have already lot of control cards!(but yeah, not on resources)

I dont think this card alone is so good in the early game, cause at th cost of 2 and 3 loyalty you're both losing a turn...but it has to be played to say!

Looks more like a Dark Elf card to me. Anyway, it's good too see Orcs are getting some control cards.

I also feel this card might be too strong.  It is a big price to pay discarding two cards to deny them likely 3-5 resources.  Really need to play with it to say for sure.

This card is way to good. Simple "hate" cause a lot of trouble for a opponent in early game. This card makes  it impossible for other player to play, while you can still expand your kingdom and quest zones. I hope it was way more playtested that Visit the Haunted City quest, else I think this card will find it's place in restricted card list.

Great card. Perfect for a reanimator deck.
