Spells from the Lore of Heavens manipulate the ethers of the skies. Even a single cantrip can upset the delicate balance of the heavens, unleashing waves of force that buffet and pummel targets. Among the most potent of these spells is the mighty Comet of Casandora, a power with which the Wizard reaches out across the Winds of Magic, drawing a wandering meteorite down unto the battlefield. Its awesome impact devastates friend and foe alike, and its area of effect is seldom predictable.
Welcome back to another spotlight on Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game! With the recent release of both the Legends Expansion and The Twin Tailed Comet, players of all six factions have plenty of exciting new options for their decks. But more great cards are coming; Signs in the Stars, the fourth Battle Pack in The Morrslieb Cycle, will be on store shelves in just a few short weeks! So far, we’ve seen the clever Dwarf Gyrocopter (Signs in the Stars, 63) and the corrupting Masque of Slaanesh (Signs in the Stars, 74). Today, we’ll look at a spell with which the High Elves can wreak havoc: Comet of Casandora (Signs in the Stars, 72).
Fire From the Sky
Comet of Casandora is a two-cost Tactic that can potentially deal massive indirect damage to each player. Totaling the cost of the top two cards in your deck then dealing that amount of fiery death, this impressive weapon fits nicely into a High Elf indirect-damage deck.
In a deck with plenty of high cost cards, like Moon Dragon (The Chaos Moon, 29) and Descendant of Indraugnir (The Silent Forge, 46), Comet of Casandora could do as much as thirteen indirect damage in a single blow. And with a well-timed use of Order in Chaos (The Burning of Derricksburg, 18), you can even help make sure that you get your money's worth!
While this admittedly situational combo may be a little difficult to pull off, it demonstrates the potential power of Comet of Casandora. Keep checking back for more on Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game, and look for Signs in the Stars on store shelves later this month!
Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game is a card game by Eric M. Lang in which 2 players develop their kingdoms and lay waste to their foes. Each side is comprised of either the forces of Order or the forces of Destruction as they seek to extend their empire to include the entire Old World. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Battle Pack expansions to the core game.
2 Epic Spells = win
Same here...get them to the stores, pls!
Nice Combo with Gifts of Aenarion
a strong card. But I must say, fantasyflight starts to suck. announcing new cards is not the same like bringing them to the stores. this is a card that should have been released on may. now we have mid june.
So I`m a little bit dissappointed
@Mamut: Master of Earth?
Wonder if it will be practical to play this with Twin-Tailed Comet right behind it. It could knock an opponent out in one shot. Of course, it may also knock you out.......................
Does this become a more powerful card if you have Legend Tyrion in play and can reassign damage to your units to other players. It almost seems like a double dip if he is in play.
Each player = bad. Even if you get to increase it by 1-3 with the locations AND get the non-cancel gal out.
To each player? I know tha high elves can heal and cancel some dmg but i think it will bring more bad than good to them...
great card, master of earth was cool, but this one with just cost for sure is great aswell
Good HE Cards who help you changing deck's order become even more useful now!
