Call of Cthulhu LCG | Published 18 May 2011

The Mountains of Madness and Ancient Horrors, two long out-of-print Asylum Packs for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, have returned! Look for them at your local retailer or on our webstore.

These newly reprinted Asylum packs bring back classic cards to Call of Cthulhu and to your tabletop. In addition to increasing from the 40-card packs of the original print run to the new 60-card format of 3 copies each of 20 unique cards, these Asylum Packs also incorporate the errata and clarifications of the FAQ (pdf, 428 KB) available for download from the support page. Both of these Asylum Packs feature a variety of cards that will enhance each faction's various strengths and strategies.

Madness at the Bottom of the World

The Mountains of Madness takes your game to the frozen wastes of Antarctica. Join forces with a group of adventurous academics from Miskatonic University and try to uncover the secrets buried beneath the snow.

The Mountains of Madness, in addition to a variety of characters for each faction, introduces Polar events, powerful defensive weapons in the struggle for Antarctic stories. Take additional advantage Polar events through the conspiracy, Realm of Ice and Death.

Fears that Predate Thought

In Ancient Horrors, beings emerge from deep within humankind's collective nightmares and stalk the earth. Only the bravest - or the most insane - will dare to challenge them and force them back into the darkness.

This Asylum Pack focuses on Ancient Ones, Monsters, and the investigators who hunt and destroy them. Ancient Horrors features solid utility characters for a variety of strategies, whether it be Syndicate's control capabilities, or Shub-Niggurath's acceleration.

Fight your fears and head to your local retailer or our webstore, then challenge the ancient horrors on their own unstable ground!

Based on the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft and his literary circle, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game takes two players deep into the Cthulhu Mythos where investigators clash with the Ancient Ones and Elder Gods for the fate of the world. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Asylum Pack expansions to the core game.
