With the phenomenal success of The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game’s worldwide debut and a second print run already in the works, players across the globe now anxiously await the release of its first series of Adventure Packs, Shadows of Mirkwood.
Now, you can be among the first to take part in this epic journey! June 10th-12th, your friendly local retailer will offer a sneak peek at the first installment of this much-anticipated series.
Beginning with The Hunt for Gollum, the Shadows of Mirkwood cycle presents a linked narrative of quests that will take your fellowship through the Anduin Valley, along the Eaves of Mirkwood Forest, to the Hills of Emyn Muil, and even into the Dead Marshes. Heroes with enough skill and fortune to capture their prey must then escort him north, through Mirkwood Forest, to Thranduil’s palace for questioning and safekeeping.
But first, you must gather the clues to begin your search, and in The Hunt for Gollum, Gandalf has commanded you and your companions to discover the creature’s location. But be careful, false leads could guide your party in circles, forcing you to begin your hunt anew.

Players will select heroes, gather allies, acquire artifacts, and coordinate their efforts to face Middle-earth’s most dangerous fiends. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Adventure Pack expansions to the core game.
The article says that the location list is being published today. Is that still happening?
Ah ha good to see my supplier on there for a bit of global support for the event!
I really hope that this game catches on in the Toronto area. If not... Well at least I still can force friends to play a few games or do a few solo games. :P
Thanks to FFG, for listening to feedback and responding (quickly to it)
letting the UK share the love :)
Any news on what players/organisers need to do to prepare? To encourge my local game shop to get involved I agreed to run it, if they could not find anyone else.
This is a great way to spin production delays. :)
I agree, since the game is being honourable to the books written by an Englishman, a little love to that gracious of vowels, the letter u, wouldn't go amiss. L'amour! ;)
I'd prefer the cards written in English, which would fit nicely with the Tolkien source material, but American English is perfectly acceptable otherwise.
Will it be the 'Hount four Goulloum' in the UK? :-D
Come on guys don't give them a hard time about getting it to us in the UK. Think of the painstaking work they have to go through to localise it for us.
Maybe adding in 'u' to the word color is just too much and they shouldn't bother. I could probably read it ok with the spelling mistakes left in.
I agree with timbolton, what about the uk?
Bad news, I was hoping for a late May/early June release as well. Bummer. If there's one game that surely doesn't need any more hyping, it's LotR LCG.
