Queen of Dragons the fifth deluxe expansion for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game is now on sale at your local retailer and our webstore! The expansion offers players 165 cards (3 copies each of 55 unique cards) including new cards for House Targaryen, and new neutral cards and agendas that will add variety and challenge into decks of any House.
To gather more insight into this expansion, read Hail to the Queen for notes from Queen of Dragon’s developer, Damon Stone.
The strength to destroy nations
The iconic cards included are the symbols of House Targaryen itself, the three dragons Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion. Within the game their varied abilities trigger off of challenges in which Dragons are the only participants. With the synergy built around the Dragon trait in this expansion, having your Dragons handle your challenges will be very powerful.
Queen of Dragons expands House Targaryen’s draw capabilities and brings out the Unsullied and mercenary themes, as well as provides more options for attachment use. Cards like Grey Worm can be used in combination with other Queen of Dragons cards through increasing one of your characters’ STR or by reducing the total STR of an opponent’s character and then triggering another card’s affect.
Included within the Queen of Dragons expansion are two decklists created with the aid of 2009 Melee World Champion Jonathan Benton and other devoted A Game of Thrones fans. Use them to delve into House Targaryen’s various strengths or use them as a starting place to explore the art of customizing your deck.
The Mother of Dragons is ready to ride to war. Make sure to stop by your local retailer and pick up a copy of Queen of Dragons today!

The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Chapter Pack expansions to the core game.
Fantastic news (though we already new it based on spoilers elsewhere), but superficial write up. Honestly, most people on these forums have already seen the spoilers, so this "article" should go WAY more into the set's cohesion, design, etc.
But yeah, I'm excited about the set as a whole too.
And ALONG with this release comes the FAQ!!! Need to check out the erratta on Heir to the Throne, and the Laughing Storm being added to the restricted list. Very interesting indeed.
Here's hoping that the eventual Lanni set will add some tooth and claw to the Lion's melee game.
The return of Pyat Pree is a day that will be long remembered.
A great set, lots of fun cards...lots of good cards...love the reprints.
I can only hope the Lanni set is as good ;)
