Announcing a Battles of Westeros miniatures painting contest |
| Battles of Westeros | Published 06 April 2011 | Rating | 18 votes |

Stannis touched the Painted Table. "Look at it, onion knight. My realm, by rights. My Westeros." He swept a hand across it. "This talk of Seven Kingdoms is a folly. Aegon saw that three hundred years ago when he stood where we are standing. They painted this table at his command. Rivers and bays they painted, hills and mountains, castles and cities and market towns, lakes and swamps and forests ... but no borders. It is all one. One realm, for one king to rule alone."
- George R.R. Martin, a Storm of Swords
The sun-scorched tans of Dorne, the lush greens of Highgarden, and the chilling grays of Winterfell... Westeros is a realm of vibrant colors. Today, you can contribute its splendor; submit your entry to the Battles of Westeros miniatures painting contest!

does the unit type have to have the corresponding commander? or can we mix and match? for example i would like to submit a Lanister commander with a stark unit type. is this ok?
Hi, congratulations for this contest: its really a good idea.
I've a question on the submission however, regarding this:

Where are this terms I've to agree? I'd like to see theme prior to make the submission 'cause, for instance, I'm ItalianI want to know if the contest is available to non USA residents.

[ADMIN: This contest is open to all participants, worldwide. You will now find the submission terms above; simply include the bold text verbatim with your submission. Good luck! ]
I wish there was more time to get ready for this, I'd be all over it. Any chance this can be done again?
Can I just check what you mean by a unit. Is it, for example, three figures and a commander for an infantry unit, two figures and a commander for a cavalry?
This makes me wish I had any painting skill whatsover. I can't wait to see the winner's submission though! Love that this game is getting so much attention from FFG, it's fantastic to play. Cant' wait to see what else you guys have in store.
