She had no doubt she’d be better off dead than live to see whatever fate awaited her.

Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the latest Asylum Pack for Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, That Which Consumes!
That Which Consumes is the sixth and final chapter of The Rituals of the Order cycle, coming this summer. For more information on the design philosophy of this expansion cycle, be sure to read "Rituals of Power", an article written by the designer as an introduction to the series.
A Final Note
As Rituals of the Order has progressed to its conclusion in That Which Consumes, each of the eight factions of Call of Cthulhu has seen its core capabilities developed and strengthened while new strategies have been introduced. In That Which Consumes, this progression continues in the addition of a variety of surprising new effects. This includes powerful event cards for Shub-Niggurath, Hastur, and Yog-Sothoth, but it also includes looming threats for Cthulhu and Miskatonic University, in the form of a new Lunatic and some new Artifacts. That Which Consumes adds more uncertainty and chaos to Call of Cthulhu - just the thing for the mad adherents of Cthulhu!
The Mage Known as Magnus
That Which Consumes also features a special addition to the Call of Cthulhu metagame: a card designed by 2009 and 2010 World Champion Tom Capor*. The Mage Known as Magnus, a neutral Sorcerer with a compelling card ability, should be able to find a home in a number of competitive Call of Cthulhu decks. We hope to see The Mage Known as Magnus making the rounds at Call of Cthulhu Worlds at Gen Con 2011.
Existing strategies will be tested and interesting new modes will enter the Call of Cthulhu metagame through That Which Consumes.
The tale of Lucy Jennings also concludes in the serial tale by Jeff Tidball included in this Asylum Pack. Lucy must pass one final test and open the doorway to the Silver Twilight, or to oblivion.
In the world of Call of Cthulhu, the ground can give way at any time and threats seen and unseen loom at all times. Find out this summer what lies in wait...
* Tom Capor is the only player in the history of Call of Cthulhu to repeat as World Champion.
Based on the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft and his literary circle, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game takes two players deep into the Cthulhu Mythos where investigators clash with the Ancient Ones and Elder Gods for the fate of the world. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Asylum Pack expansions to the core game.
Nice job Tom, congratulations on your immortalization!
