Announcing Embers of Atlantis, a Fireborn novel by Tracy Hickman |
| Embers of Atlantis | Published 02 March 2011 | Rating | 25 votes |
A sudden spout of fire shook Abraxas’s right wing, flipping the dragon nearly on his side. He roared with indignation and frustration, beating his right wing furiously in compensation. He had barely righted himself in the air when the clouds and smoke suddenly parted.
Atlantis lay dying beneath him.
...
The turbulence jostled him awake.
Ethan Gallows shivered then sat up suddenly, gasping in air.

Embers of Atlantis is the first novel based on Fantasy Flight Games’s Fireborn. Written by New York Times bestselling author Tracy Hickman (Dragonlance Chronicles), this captivating novel introduces readers to a modern world faced with the sudden emergence of magic.
Wouldn't it be great if a sample chapter was posted?
PS: The Fireborn RPG is really cool. Please continue to keep it available via purchased PDF.
Would buy this but my modern geekiness requires me to buy all books in a format that I can read on my Kindle. That aisde, I always thought the game looked cool, perhaps I will get a chance to read this.
I bought the rpg, then ffg dropped it right after that. I was a little disapointed that the player, with the current rules that is, could not turn in to thier dragon form, and so was my rpg group, so we never played.
Fireborn 2 edition "teaser"? Hope hope hope
Great news! But, what does Tracy Hickman know about dragons? (LOL)
Tracy Hickman!!! ok...have to read!!
Never played the RPG, not even familiar with the setting, but I'll be reading a copy of this. I hope FFG does some Terrinoth, Grimm and TI3 novels.
Kind of strange that there is not even a Scion website anymore nor any print copies of the rules available :/
What the hell? After FFG dropped Fireborn before it even got off the ground, this is one of the oddest things out there.
I'm not familiar with Fireborn, but I think it's pretty cool that they got Tracy Hickman to do the book!
Any chance of getting Dan Abnett to do a Twilight Imperium book?
It seems FFG is following in the successful footsteps of Games Workshop and developing a line of books based on their IPs. I'm sure if the Fireborn book is successful it will spawn a sequel, and at that point an rpg line may be deemed as viable.
Oh sweet Tiamat, I loved the RPG so much! Please, I love that I'll get to read novels based on the property, but 2e Fireborn would be AMAZING!
