As the Battlestar Galactica continues its exhausting search for a new home, their Cylon pursuers hunt them at every turn. The rules for Exodus (pdf, 2.1 MB), the upcoming expansion for Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game, are now available on the support page! With three new options to add to your game, Exodus is a great way to expand on the accusations and mistrust that run rampant in Battlestar Galactica.
You can choose to add any combination of the three new options included in Exodus. Crave more white-knuckle space dog-fighting? Incorporate the Cylon Fleet option. The Conflicted Loyalties option introduces new Loyalty Cards that will test even the most trustworthy allegiances. Finally, relive the emotional turmoil of the hit television series with the Ionian Nebula, which pits players against the various conflicting personalities aboard Galactica.

Based on the hit Syfy series, Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game is an exciting game of mistrust, intrigue, and the struggle for survival in which three to six take the roles of their favorite characters from the show. Each playable character has their own abilities and weaknesses, and all must work together in order for humanity to have any hope of survival. However, one or more players in every game is secretly a Cylon, and wants the humans to perish.
I agree with kargie, this way Exodus is really bleak. No new leaders, and now that we know the Treachery card system, who wants to play without them? They should have found a better way.
rowanalpha: while I agree that you're right that the reason not to include them is to keep them independently playable, I dont necessarily thin that would keep them from releasing the things I would have liked to have seen. A few leaders with 3 of each type of agendas would work on their own without the pegasus components. Exodus re-wrote caprica officially, so there's no reason that they couldnt list what the pegasus overlay said in the rules (since without pegasus you technically need to refer to the rulebook anyway when using exodus). As for treachery, without pegasus leaders would just draw a blue and their own color (or enough new treachery card to build a small deck without pegasus). Sure, that's weaker, but it would work-and would also work for allies on pegasus: give them two locations like Cain. If you're using pegasus, they go there. If not, they go on their other location. I just think that there was a way to either throw in a couple of components to build on the good parts of pegasus either considering them bonuses in the exodus box, or even still having them work.
Abandoning the pegasus add ons completely, ESPECIALLY the leaders, means we will not be able to play as many great charactersathena and d'anna to name two key ones, but also Doral and Simon.
I can understand not including the cylon leaders, because then they'd have to include a whole treachery deck, a dozen agendas, and a cylon location overlay. Without those, the leaders would be unplayable for anyone who buys Exodus but does not have Pegasus, and FFG wants the expansions to be independently playable.

I'll echo a few other commentsI'm really excited for this expansion and everything about it looks great aside from the fact that it doesn't contain anything to enhance elements from pegasus that could be used with both (CL leaders like D'anna, Athenawho is even on the BOX and is not a playable character? Really?!?, Doral and Simon, a few more agendas, and a just a couple allies on pegasus, and possibly a treachery card or two would have been niceand really not that many components to add). However, I'll now just have to hold out hope that the final expansion (please?!?!?!) contains elements that add to both expansionsthe list above as well as possibly a few more allies, and frankly more crossroads cards. Am I the only one that noticed that the game contains only 7 of them? This means that in larger games it is possible to know every single potential occurrence and plan your choice accordingly. A wider pool to draw fromeven only 3-5 morewould in my opinion have been much betterthey are, after all, sort of like individual crises. But all in all, while slightly dissapointed in the lack of the slightest support for the pegasus expansion, I'm really looking forward to exodus.
Also of note:
From explanation of skill check abilities- "However, do not resolve the same Skill Check Ability more than once, even if more than one copy of the same card was played into the check. (For instance, if two “Establish Network” cards were played into a skill check, double the strength of all engineering Skill Cards played in the check, but do not double them a second time.)"
We know then the blue 0 card is Establish Network, and doubles the strength of blue cards in the skill check.
The red 0 is called Protect the (Fleet?)
There is a yellow card that looks like Chamalla (something) that is strength 2 and not a skill check ability.
Tory is definitely the political charater.
Romo's ally is in the brig. His positive gets you out of the brig and his negative makes you discard your hand.
There's a Hoshi ally.
There are 4 Viper Mk VIIs and 4 extra raiders.
The are at least 2 Final Five loyalty cards (different arts).
Interestingly, the "Consequence" crisis cards synergize with the reckless treachery cards, triggering bad stuff even if the skill check isn't already reckless.
Yes, couple of new treachery cards would be nice. As well as CL D'Anna.. But as it seems - there might be one expansion still coming, so don't we despair :-)
Anyway, Exodus looks great and I can't wait to get it!
Everything in this expansion looks great, but I have to confess my disappointment : no new cylon leader ? No new agendas ? No ally on Pegasus ? No new treachery cards ? Nothing to enhance the Pegasus Expansion ?
I know that Exodus is designed to be played without Pegasus, but a few more cards would have been both easy to do by FFG and appreciated by the players who own Pegasus.
I'm getting the impression that Pegasus was a dead end and that FFG want to forget about it rather than correct the few mistakes it contains.
