He stared out across the sea, watching the starlight reflect off the water as he wondered how long it had truly been. How long had it been since his people gazed up to the heavens? How long had he truly been trapped in this decaying land, surrounded by the inferiority that lay upon this world like a black shroud? He knew...deep in his mind he knew. But he was tired of looking to the past. The future was much more bloody, and much more glorious...
Fantasy Flight Games is excited to announce the upcoming release of Hoss, a single figure expansion for Tannhäuser. Hoss Harbinger is a descendant of Atlas, the true king of the world. In his veins flows the blood of the ancients, and he wields their powers with ease.
Hoss is a frighteningly powerful individual, able to bend time and space to his will. His manipulation of reality gives him superior agility and his clairvoyant nature gives him the edge in combat. He has joined the Reich in his quest to return his people to glory, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his ends.
Hoss comes with a detailed pre-painted miniature, a character sheet, a rulebook with a unique scenario for Hoss, and tokens for all of his equipment.
Stay alert. This unique individual will be looking to join your Reich forces later this winter!
Tannhäuser is a squad based tactical board game set in an alternate timeline in which WWI has never ended. The forces of the Reich have turned to the occult, while the forces of the Union have delved into alien technology and developed deadly weapons of war. Using the revolutionary Path-Finding System, Tannhäuser is quick and easy to play.
I wonder if that last name thing is a typo. This guy sounds like he's going to be a brute.
This is exciting news, although it would be great to hear about Hoss' specific abilities and how he might complement or alter existing Obscura Corp strategies.
I agree with Plageman's comments about the names, but really I'm just happy to finally have new Tannhauser products on the way (whatever the names are)! I can't wait for this, and the other figures that have been announced recently, to hit the store shelves!
But the name sounds like Hoss Cartwright from Bonanza.
While I'm happy to see new figs to be released for Tannhäuser, I'm still disappointed to see FFG change names that are completly valid without an explanation.
C'mon Hass Hörbinger is a german name while Hoss Harbinger isn't. And Asterios is a greek name, could have been validly changed in Asterius or Asterion is needed but certainly not Asteros.
To me this looks more like a typo that has been incorrectly validated...
So I see they setteled on Hoss Harbinger, instead of TOY's original Hass Horbinger.
Nice! I think it's a little odd that they just call him Hoss instead of his full name. It'll be interesting to see what he brings to the table but my real question is when are these supposed to come out?
Wow, he sounds like a world beater.
Oh no! They stopped short in telling us the extent of what he can do! Tease! Tease!
The last of the T.O.Y. legacy figures arrives at last. I can't wait to see what FFG follows this up with!
