Man rules now where They ruled once; They shall soon rule where man rules now. After summer is winter, and after winter summer. They wait patient and potent, for here shall They reign again.

With over fifteen years of creating the most immersive and thematic gaming experiences available, Fantasy Flight Games has built a reputation for components of the highest quality. Whether exploring a dungeon’s depths in a world of high fantasy, maneuvering a massive fleet through a hostile galaxy, or battling otherworldly horrors in the streets of Arkham, players have learned to expect a level of aesthetic detail that captures the imagination.
It’s with these high standards in mind that we announce an updated estimate for the release of Mansions of Madness, the board game of occult horror and mystery. Some of the initial monster molds resulted in figures that did not meet our expectations of excellence, and consequently had to be redone. While this decision will ensure a product of the highest quality, it will also result in a delay.
Mansions of Madness will be available during the first quarter of 2011. We realize that this is beyond the range of dates we originally announced. However, we’re confident that once you see the final product, you’ll agree it was well worth the wait.

Mansions of Madness is a macabre game of
horror, insanity, and mystery for two to five players. Based on the beloved fiction of H.P. Lovecraft, Mansions of Madness tells a story in which one player takes on the role of the keeper, a malevolent force working to complete a sinister plot, and all other players take on the roles of investigators, the unlikely heroes who gather to oppose him.
Oh man, I can almost taste it! Please come out soon, or my sanity shall be annihilated.
So... is it first quarter 2011 yet? *Cheeky Grin*
We're gonna need paints for this also.
With all of the holiday expenses, I'm just as glad it's not coming out until 2011.
A Cthulhu themed Betrayal At The House On The Hill. I need this. Badly. Along with the miniatures. The current version of BatHotH has some technical issues with their miniatures.
I didn't read anything official about 'resculpts'.
My understanding was that they had issues with the molds.
Is some other official source suggesting resculpts or is this
purely conjecture?
Those monster figs have square bases with cardboard inserts by the look of it, so I can see a painted Collectors range of these sculpts being released for use with AH (slot the tile in, pop it out for combat...).
I am glad the monsters are going to have some resculpts, TBH some of teh rubbish sculpts on the Descent figs has put me off buying the game, and painting them just makes them look worse IMO as it highlights the poor sculpts.
I am planning painting my Talisman minis as a test for the MoM range.
Gives me some time to save up for this!
I'm really looking forward to painting these nice miniatures, so I'll happily wait another month or so for superior quality.
The minatures could use some paint on them
Yeah, what Narsil0420 said.
We appreciate the communication FFG, thank you! Knowing what's going on helps deal with the delay.
