A look at the Arkham Horror Investigator Miniatures
Arkham Horror Investigators | Published 03 November 2010

They did not call the condition true insanity, but classed it rather among neurotic disorders. My course in trying to track down and analyze it, instead of vainly seeking to dismiss or forget it, they heartily endorsed as correct according to the best psychological principles. I especially valued the advice of such physicians as had studied me during my possession by the other personality.
      – H. P. Lovecraft, The Shadow Out of Time

The quiet Massachusetts town of Arkham is full of diverse personalities... and some are a bit more eccentric than others. Now, you can bring them all to your tabletop in fine detail and vibrant color with pre-painted Arkham Horror Investigator Miniatures!

For years, Arkham Horror has stood apart as one of FFG’s most thematic gaming experiences. Players have consistently been drawn into the shared storytelling experience it creates, in which they represent the courageous few standing between humanity and a millennium of darkness. With its themes of terror, insanity, and unlikely heroism, Arkham Horror faithfully captures the mythos of H.P. Lovecraft and his literary circle, providing fuel for the imagination while transporting players to another time and place.

Now, Arkham Horror Investigator Miniatures provide a whole new level of immersion.

Yesterday we announced the availability of these remarkable collectibles, and the response so far has been fantastic. In fact, if you’ve attempted to purchase the complete set from our webstore and found it out of stock, don’t give up. We’ve become aware of a minor technical issue occasionally resulting in a misrepresentation of our inventory, and we’re working to correct it. Rest assured, we have these exciting sets available to fill your orders.

These pre-painted figures are among the first ever products to be featured in our Fantasy Flight Collector line of games and components. The miniatures, which replace the investigator markers included with Arkham Horror, provide the perfect enhancement for your game as you explore the horrific and supernatural mysteries of 1920s rural Massachusetts. They’re also a great way to prepare for Mansions of Madness! Order yours in advance of this winter’s most anticipated release, and be ready to explore the crypts, manors, and monasteries of Arkham in style.

Note to Retailers: Due to various production factors of these figures, including manufacturing costs, we're unable to offer this Fantasy Flight Collector product through normal distribution channels. Despite the financial challenge involved, retailers still wishing to carry this product should contact our sales department for more information.

With these pre-painted Arkham Horror investigator miniatures, you’ll have the heroes you need to stand up to the Ancient Ones and defeat the dark forces threatening the world. Head to our product list to check out the full line, then place your order!

The site really need a paypal option for people who live outside the US. I was unable to order the full set of these figures, the cadwallon minis or any of the stuff from the Xmas sale. Needless to say I was majorly dissappointed after paying for a phone call to the states only to be told that my card wasn't being accepted due to a billing address mismatch, despite living at the same address for 31 years! Please sort this out as I want these items!

I saved up, and bought the 24 miniatures I wanted.  I like them a great deal. I will end up getting more, as I get other expansions to the game.

The heck with the miniatures; I wish FFG would work on getting the original boxed game republished!  We've been waiting forever.  All we hear is "coming soon."  When is it going to be available, guys????

Sorry, I might be minority here but I believe the Arkham Horror miniatures are awful. Why the kitsch? I VERY MUCH prefer the highly stylish cardboard items instead of these miniatures.

I received mine today. They all look great except for Tommy Muldoon, who doesn't seem to have a nose. Not sure if they all are that way.

I was sort of thinking that these were incredibly cool and the minis were even making me reconsider purchasing the board game. - But then I saw the price. $191.52 for 48 little teeny figures!?!  - or $3.99 each.  :(

They probably have high production costs, but I mean, seriously? Like, how? Who forgot to carry the decimal? :O

Two entire board games (with all those components) shouldn't cost that much. Drop the price by about $120, and then I'll be back in the realm of MAYBE considering this, possibly. I would not be able to justify such an expense to anyone, and I've become very good over the years at justifying expensive rpg purchases.

Are these guys a "limited time only" release?

If so, then dammit there goes my credit card's health!!

If not, yay I CAN wait till I get back to Australia next year!!

I don't intend to play the actual board game with these figures, but they would be oh so VERY awesome for the 1930's "Indiana Jones" Era RPG I intend to run, wouldn't they?

Before dropping $200 on this, I was wondering if there is a plan to produce more figures if/when new investigators are added to the game.  I'd hate to have to share the board with awesome minis and less awesome cardboard figs.

Thanks,

-J

The "Buy Now" link for Harvey Walters points to Jenny Barnes.

[ADMIN: That has been corrected. ]

[ADMIN: Thank you for alerting us to this. The "Buy Now" link was indeed incorrect for Harvey Walters, Dexter Drake, and Diana Stanley. We have corrected the link, and we apologize for the inconvenience.]
