Welcome back to another Warhammer: Invasion card of the week spotlight! Last week brought big news for fans of Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game, with the announcement of The Morrslieb Cycle and it’s first Battle Pack, Omens of Ruin. But while the distant future of Warhammer: Invasion is indeed bright, there’s plenty to get excited about in the short term as well: namely, The Enemy Cycle. Friday brought Redemption of a Mage, its fourth Battle Pack, to store shelves... and with it, cards like Knights Panther, Higher Ground, Githit Froatcutta, and Friedrich Hemmler. Now, let’s turn our attention to the Battle Pack coming your way next month, The Fourth Waystone.
When we announced this fifth Battle Pack in The Enemy Cycle, we saw the awesome might of the High Mountain Troll, an Orc unit that regenerates its health every turn. This week’s card spotlight brings us another powerful destruction card, this time in the form of support for Chaos.
Tainted Well allows you to damage your opponents’ units whenever they are corrupted. Coupled with corrupting effects like that of Esli’an or Seduced by Darkness, Tainted Well can be a potent means sniping at enemy units. What’s more, with a Tainted Well on the table, your foes will think twice about employing any cards that corrupt themselves, such as Warpstone Excavation!

Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game is a card game by Eric M. Lang in which 2 players develop their kingdoms and lay waste to their foes. Each side is comprised of either the forces of Order or the forces of Destruction as they seek to extend their empire to include the entire Old World. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Battle Pack expansions to the core game.
It remains good even with a moment-bound effect. I'm going to put it into my Chaos deck.
Yeah, after some discussion in the actual forums, it was astutely pointed out that it has to refer to the moment the Unit is corrupted otherwise you could just use it repeatedly (Actions can be repeatedly re-used as long as you can meet the requirements) to kill every Corrupt unit.
Should've realized that myself, so it's back to being somewhat useful but not THAT useful. Poor Chaos, when will you get the love you deserve.
I kinda like it. Good picture neat text. Not everly powerful but still strong. Notice how it doesn't say 'target'. Gets around that pesky Church and Iron.
Even in the article, and I quote 'allows to damage your opponents units when they are corrupted'. Definately slows down the skaven speed decks.
If it's only at the time a unit becomes corrupted, then yes, its expensive and us chaos lovin folk will still be waiting for some much needed support for a faction which is slow, reasonably weak and expensive.

It will be clarified for sure that only when a unit BECOMES corrupted u may use the ability of this support. Although, i see it can be useful due to number of chaos corrupting cards. it's not cheap but i won't say it's too expansive. I usually play resource demanding chaos deck and almost always play cards in kingdom only for the two first turns so that next turns i can use chaos tactics and chosen of tzeentch like cards a lot. it looks nice as a second turn kingom card.
Guys, this is an ability with a trigger like "when this unit attack" on several cards. Hovewer it's still very usable and powerfull !

Oooh..Raventroll is right, although they may have not meant it to work that way. Hmm....if that's how they rule for it to work, then it COULD be fairly useful.
Wow a chaos support card that doesn't totally suck, I'm shocked. I like this, its pretty good. Not amazing, but solid.
Am i missing something? was there an FAQ that I missed? This seems more than powerful then people are mentioning. It's not limited to once per turn and the wording is 'when unit is corrupted', not 'when unit becomes corrupted'. If the unit is corrupted, unless you can uncorrupt him he takes 1 damage per action.
Please clarify this because although it is powerful, it's not that expensive.
To Aryan - Doesn't matter if you play casually or not, it's still foolishly over-priced to the point where anyone playing a solid Order deck will hardly notice it's effect at all. That's the key problem. :(
i play for fun, no tournaments, single starter, single every bp.
Great addition to chaos, it makes it even stronger! (with 1 copy of every bp before enemy cycle chaos is second of strongest factions after dwarves)
Unless there is something coming to corrupt whole zones at a time, this card is too expensive.
