As the world’s superpowers clash over control of a rare and powerful new energy source, the world has been reduced to a smoking battlefield. Elite troops and massive combat robots meet in some of Earth’s most inhospitable environments and they fight to determine the fate of humanity. Now, as the war reaches its boiling point, new reinforcements arrive, bringing never-before-seen tactics. Which side will you choose?
Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of four new expansion boxes for Dust Tactics! Featuring new tactical options for your Allied and Axis armies, these primed, unpainted miniatures will take your game to a new level.
For the Allies, speed and versatility mean staying one step ahead of the enemy. With the Recon Boys and Gunners expansions, you can outfit your squads with the ability to adapt to nearly any threat.
Recon Boys excel at their primary task: scout, infiltrate, and capture. Their speed allows them to quickly find cover or control a strategic location, which makes up for their lack of firepower. Recon Boys carry a Victory machine gun that can cut through enemy troops, but with no anti-tank armaments, beware leaving them alone against armored units.
The Gunners are the most versatile unit the Allied forces have at their disposal, equipped with long-range rifles, Underbarrel Grenade Launchers (UGLs), and a Bazooka. This premium box fields an additional Bazooka figure and the Bot Hunters unit card, allowing you to convert The Gunners unit into a squad especially fitted to bring down the most well-armored of tanks and vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Axis’ Grenadiers stand ready to reduce enemy armored units to piles of twisted metal. Their Battle Grenadiers and Recon Grenadiers pack a punch against the toughest foes.
Recon Grenadiers are the primary scouts for the Axis forces. Equipped with a machine gun that can mow down whole infantry units, they specialize in softening up the enemy and paving the way for Special Forces to follow. And, should any tanks cross their path, they bring a few Panzerfausts along just in case.
Battle Grenadiers are comprised of well-equipped veterans armed with a Panzerschreck, Panzerfausts, and rapid-fire assault rifles. This premium box fields an additional Panzerschreck figure and the Tank Killers unit card, allowing you to convert your Battle Grenadiers unit into an elite anti-armor squad.
While these four expansions contain primed, unpainted miniatures, premium painted versions will concurrently be available from Fantasy Flight Collect, and we’ll release details soon. Keep checking back for more; this winter, the war is heating up at your local retailer!
Dust Tactics is a tactical miniatures game of brutal combat for 2-4 players. Based on the popular universe created by artist Paolo Parente, Dust Tactics presents an alternate 1940s reality in which alien technology fuels gigantic machines of war, and the world's superpowers clash over rare mineral deposits that could ultimately decide the outcome of WWII.
Am still a little mystified as to why one would want to buy these separately rather than just pick up a second base game?
Yeah, I am stocking up for when the rules to make it an actual Minis game are released. Got hooked on this game at Gen Con, and it is the first game I have been truly excited about for quite some time.
Fantastic news, Cant wait for more updates and the general release of the game, with these box sets your like a support act before the band, cant take it, lets get the party started :)
"Or perhaps its a Cold War style battle, with lots of posturing but no actual fighting..."
"Cold War? Hell, it was a hot war."

God... I'm already into Battletech and Games Workshop... but i'm more and more tempted to go for this when Christmas comes. Those elite German troops look simply yummie!
@ Torbal game came out this week, some stores already got it available.
Oh yeah, I see it. OK, this looks to be in my price comfort zone.
"New troops join the battle," the ad states. This would be the battle that hasn't started yet, as the base game is not yet available, I assume?

@paradiddlebob - The prices are on the product pages on this site. The troop boxes range from $14.95 to $19.95
@ Wildger - Because players have full army building options in Dust tactics. Players who want more of a specific troop type in their army builds will need to buy either these, or a completely new box set which at $100 is not really feasible.
These are four of the six infantry units available in the base game. I'm open to buying more as long as the price is right.
Are they the same as those in the starter box? Why do you want to buy extra at this time since there will be more troop types available.
