A look at the Chivalric Knight and Stable Cards in Talisman: The Sacred Pool |
| Talisman | Published 22 September 2010 | Rating | 28 votes |

The quest for the Crown of Command attracts all sorts of characters, both heroic and villainous. While some seek the Crown to dominate the realms, others seek it to guard them. Today’s preview of The Sacred Pool, the upcoming expansion for Talisman, will focus on latter - a brave adventurer whose cause to quest is righteous.
Previously we explored Quest Rewards and the dangerous Magus and what they add to Talisman. Today we will take a look at the Chivalric Knight.
With his trusty steed, the Chivalric Knight ventures the realm with pure and noble intentions. He seeks the Crown of Command to protect his cherished land will not sit idly while injustice runs rampant.
Because of this, the Chivalric Knight is able to ride heedlessly into whatever danger he sees, aiding his fellow adventurers whether they ask for assistance or not. While his intentions are pure, he will not turn away from a reward when it is presented to him. With The Sacred Pool’s addition of Quest Reward cards, the Chivalric Knight could become rather powerful by simply aiding his reluctant comrades.
And what would a knight be without his trusty steed?
Another addition The Sacred Pool brings is the Stable Deck, which acts like a Purchase Deck. Certain Adventure cards, such as Livery Stable, will allow players to purchase beasts of burden from the Stable Deck.
Keep checking back for a deeper glimpse into The Sacred Pool!

Talisman is a
classic board game of adventuring through the lands in search of the powerful Crown of Command. Take control of one of 14 different characters from a powerful Troll to a magical Druid, and enter a beloved world of fantasy adventure!
Looks awesome. Definetly gonna pick up Sacred Pool soon.
His power is to get the quest reward cards.
I think that he is better than he looks like:)
the odds of getting a specific combo of cards is pretty low since there are just SO many cards now. Makes many games very different
FFG,you are slow...it takes much too long before you show another preview.....
This character is absolute garbage! Can anyone think of an existing character that is worse?
this character already raises questions before being played. what happens if you assist two different characters on their turns before yours comes to bear? do you lose two+ turns or one? the attacking other characters issue is a minor kink because it would seem this guy does better when other characters around him are alive because he would recieve "quest rewards" for assisting them. also, the riding horse sucks unless you are trying to race through the dungeon/highlands. if this clown is a knight that comes to the aid of fellow adventurers he should have something more useful. maybe a lance weapon that adds +2 when you attack but is useless when you are attacked. my gut feeling is that his ability shouldn't be a may (when it suits you) ability but a you MUST ability. what happens to our "Chivalric Knight" if a battle he/she assists in is lost? who the hell knows. wait til the next $30 expansion that provides more questions than answers.
@ Zelgadis: Riding Horse is already available in the game as a Follower (2x in Reaper I think). Most of the time nobody bothers using it. It can come in handy when trying to reach the Treasure Chamber in the Dungeon, but mostly the RH is just your basic Vampire's Tower fodder (along with Guide).
Cant wait for this x-pac. I like the riding horse power, very nice.
Impressed, looks like a interesting character. With the impending release of this expansion, that means they're probably already working on a new side board! Wonder what it will be...
Oh and meant to write that if Druid has Str 4 (Str 2 + Ring + Homunculus), CK can attack him. He just can't attack vanilla (Str 2) Druid.
And PvP is the way to go. Killing another character in PvP is almost better than winning the game :D ! Especially if that character is: A) a well-boosted one and/or B) one of the annoyingly powerful ones.
Man you have no idea what kind of a weird players i have around me:) Whenever they have an opportunity to kill me,they do it very quickly, besides i don't like spell, some of them are really sick....toadify in the midlle of the dungeon:):):)
Tenks for the help, but spells are too easy to win the game...you have to do it the hard way;)
I gather that once you miss a turn you cannot miss another..
