War is Upon Us 8
The rules for Dust Tactics are now available
Dust Tactics | Published 30 July 2010

The year is 1947. The war that started eight years ago when Germany invaded Poland isn’t over. Rather, the conflict has spread worldwide, and but a handful of countries cling to relative neutrality. Throughout the world, three major superpowers fight to claim exclusive control over a revolutionary source of power. Elite troops and massive combat robots wage violent battles to claim this energy source as their own while denying it to their enemies... and this is the story of such a battle.

The rules for Dust Tactics (pdf, 7.4 MB) are now available on our support page! Study these rules of engagement carefully, then come test your mettle at GenCon 2010.

In an alternate 1940s reality, alien technology fuels gigantic machines of war as the forces of the Axis and Allies clash over rare mineral deposits that could inevitably decide the outcome of the war. Dust Tactics is a tactical miniatures board game for 2-4 players, set in the engrossing world created by renowned artist Paolo Parente.

With over 30 highly detailed miniatures, 9 double-sided terrain boards, 12 custom dice, unit cards, a variety of terrain, and plastic scenery, Dust Tactics delivers everything you need to play the game. One of the most eye-catching features of Dust Tactics is the quality of the miniatures. Each miniature is a unique sculpt depicting a type of the soldiers or machine of war, which makes tracking your troops an easy, enjoyable, and engrossing experience.

From the combat robots – enormous vehicles of war with a fearsome destructive capacity – to the ranks of individual soldiers, the level of detail on each miniature is exquisite. Each figure has its own individual character and feel, standing out from the other members of its unit. This makes tracking certain members of a given unit much easier. In addition, each miniature is sculpted to reflect the type of equipment they carry. The masked recon grenadiers, rugged combat rangers, and ruthless commanders take on a life of their own, drawing players into a rich and violent world at war.

Check out the rules today to learn more about this exciting new addition to Fantasy Flight Games, and beginning with its debut at GenCon 2010, prepare to enter the world of Dust.

While it's nice to see that they planned expansion, I'm not sure I'll pay $100 for each one.

I was kind of on the fence about this game but after seeing page 23 of the rule book and reading what each expansion would bring I am a lot more excited about this game. I just hope ffg continues to support it and it doesn't go the way of some of their previous mini games

I'm a fan of the DUST mythos so hoping this game does well so we can see more expansions and armies.

I'll put this here and in the forum: Page 23 of the rulebook lists five planned expansions for the game, which is good or bad depending on how you view games that add on expansion after expansion...

Great to see this after getting home from a long week of work...a nice set of sci-fi rules to read and unwind with.

May just have to make this game my Christmas present this year!
