Announcing the next Chapter Pack for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game |
| A Game of Thrones LCG | Published 13 July 2010 | Rating | 21 votes |

There were no heralds, no banners, no horns nor drums, only the twang of bowstrings ... and suddenly the clansmen came thundering out of the dawn, lean dark men in boiled leather and mismatched armor, faces hidden behind barred half-helms. In gloved hands were clutched all manner of weapons: longswords and lances and sharpened scythes, spiked clubs and daggers and heavy iron mauls.
- A Song of Ice and Fire, Volume I: A Game of Thrones
Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the next exciting Chapter Pack in the Brotherhood Without Banners cycle for A Game of Thrones: the Card Game!
Coming this Fall, Mountains of the Moon is the third monthly release in this new cycle, and the third Chapter Pack to adopt the new collation format.
The mountain clansmen who raid the Vale are distrustful of all "lowland" lords and their agendas, but Tyrion Lannister, ever the crafty dealmaker, manages to strike a bargain with them: fight for House Lannister and take the Vale as a reward. Now, with an army of ruthless barbarians at his back, all of Westeros will hear the Lion roar.
Featuring the terrifying red hand, Timett, Son of Timett, as well as a wealth of synergy for cards with the Clansman trait, Mountains of the Moon will bring new deck-building depth to your A Game of Thrones experience. Mountains of the Moon also feature a new agenda designed by 2009 Joust World Champion, Greg Atkinson.
The never-before-seen cards in this expansion will augment existing decks and add variety to the A Game of Thrones metagame.
The Vale protect all within it but with the clansmen unleashed, not even the highest mountain peaks will protect those who dare to play the Game of Thrones...
Based on George R.R. Martin's bestselling fantasy epic A Song of Ice and Fire, A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, playable by 2-4 players, brings the beloved heroes, villains, locations, and events of the world of Westeros to life through innovative game mechanics and the highly strategic game play. The Living Card Game format allows players to customize their gaming experience with monthly Chapter Pack expansions to the core game.
Where´s his War Crest?
What interests me as well will be the Clansmen's ability to negate Deadly when defending...very cool.
@ Vermillian : actually no. The hair are all long, but worn swept back
Is Timmet rocking a mullet?
Needed: Ransack reprint! :)
Ahh yea! FFG are Dead Heads...
Fire on the Mountain
Long distance runner, what you standing there for?
Get up, get off, get out of the door
You're playing cold music on the bar room floor
Drowned in your laughter and dead to the core
There's a dragon with matches that's loose on the town
Take a whole pail of water just to cool him down
Fire, fire on the mountain
Fire, fire on the mountain
Fire, fire on the mountain
Fire, fire on the mountain
Almost ablaze, still you don't feel the heat
It takes all you got just to stay on the beat
You say it's a living, we all gotta eat
But you're here alone, there's no one to compete
If mercy's in business, I wish it for you
More than just ashes when your dreams come true
Long distance runner, what you holding out for
Caught in slow motion in a dash to the door
The flame from your stage has now spread to the floor
You gave all you had, why you want to give more?
The more that you give, the more it will take
To the thin line beyond which you really can't fake
pre plot - Killed the wrong dwarf on timmett
flip valor m.
Pretty interesting ability, and nice to see Lannister get some more interesting cards to spend all that gold on. From the few spoiled cards so far this series really seems to be developing the houses in new directions instead of just adding to their existing strengths, which makes the game a whole lot more interesting.
Amazing... I can't wait to see the others clansmen !
i wouldnt be surprised if the agenda did something like
Agenda: Burn What You Cannot Carry
"in addition to claim effects, destroy that much power on the losing opponents house card."
His ability could easily backfire though if you knelt any clansman characters you planned to use as claim soak or if your opponent gave your knelt claim soak the clansman trait so you couldn't pick them! This chapter pack series already sounds better than the previous set.
OM*G that is one amazing ability! Sure, you have to commit your clansmen to challenges or find some other way to kneel them but DAMN!
And looking forward to seeing what kind of Agenda Greg came up with.
