This summer, Fantasy Flight Games would like to invite you to embark on a grim and perilous adventure for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Old grudges emerge in the light of new discoveries surrounding the dark region of Black Fire Pass. A small company of dwarfs sets out from Karak Azgaraz to ensure the delivery of a powerful boon to the High King. But as they march into enemy territory, their journey will not be easy.
Journey to Black Fire Pass is an upcoming event for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay to be held at participating retailers across the country. Featuring an all-new introductory adventure, this event will introduce players to this revolutionary roleplaying system as well as provide a glimpse of things to go come for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.
If you are a retailer interested in hosting this event, fill out our online application before tomorrow (June 25th).
As an added incentive, participating retailers will have a chance to be featured on our website! Simply photograph your event and provide a brief write up about your experience, highlights, or a play session report. The top three submissions will be featured on our website and given a custom-made banner for their store, courtesy of Fantasy Flight Games!
For more information, check out the Journey to Black Fire Pass site.
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is a roleplaying game that sets unlikely heroes on the road to perilous adventure, in the grim setting of Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy world. Players will venture into the dark corners of the Empire, guided by luck and Fate, and challenge the threats that others cannot or will not face.
The 11 day "sign up" period is shockingly short. I suspect that many gaming stores are going to pass on this simply as it takes much longer for them to take note of the news, arrange the event and sign up.
You've yet to have a signup at the FFG:EC
i can't find anyone to host or play this event with in the Kansas City area - help!
at Bitter_Chivalry - You and all others from Europe. I don't know why but in Europe such events are not that big as FFG one and not so popular. Realy I don't know if the store are to afraid of taking part in them or what. So still I think that the best option for all fans would be - release this as a free .pdf for download on the WFRP site.
Hmmm ... would love to sign up but hey! I live in the birthplace of WFRP (y'know ... England!) so I guess I mis out on this one!
And I wish FFG would just released this as a free .pdf for download on the WFRP site.
My FLG Stores (not one but all four of them) won't take part in this event. Why? I dont know and I don't care but as a huge fan of WFRP and other FFG products I have a request. Please publish this as a free pdf as soon as possible. Becouse such fans like me won't get a chance to see "Journey to Black Fire Pass" or even play it. I think it would be better for all the player if this was not only a event but if it would be something like "Shiffting Shadows" and "A Day Late, A Shilling Short" in one. So it's would be a free pdf so everyone would have a chance to see it and play it in their homes.
For what it's worth, I wish you guys would just have released this as a free .pdf or a $10.00 package with a color printed scenario and a couple sets of new career cards and let us GM's just run the game. Both game shops in my area were not interested in paying to run this event. All I got was the times are tough and I don't have extra money for this.
I, as a GM already own every WHFRP 3.0 product you have put out in printed and digital form. Let us the experienced GM's drive the product, we already have experience with the rules, we already have copies of the product. All we need is the scenario and then I approach the same game store owners and say " I want to run this <shows black fire pass scenario> this weekend, and all I need is a table. I think that would go over allot better.
Then we send in photo's of the event and a great write up of how it all went, with new player testimonials and the impressions from the game store owner. Now pick a few reports to highlight on your site, and send the game store a core box set for allowing and supporting the GM in running the event. As for me I am happy with keeping the scenario and new character cards and maybe bringing some new players into my existing play group.
Crazy idea huh, as a owner of 27 other FFG games (complete games mind you, every expansion to every base game that I own) I love this product. I just get fired up when I can't participate due to circumstances I can't control.
