The most recent Battle Pack for Warhammer: Invasion is now on sale
Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game | Published 04 March 2010

The first battle pack, The Skavenblight Threat, saw the emergence of the diseased and squabbling Skaven. The second battle pack, The Path of the Zealot, brought new forces for the Skaven and the witch hunters... and the third, Tooth and Claw, brought forth heroes to battle the growing rat menace.

Now, Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce that the fourth battle pack for Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game, The Deathmaster’s Dance, is now on sale at your local retailer and at our webstore!

The forces of Order have put up a valiant fight against the relentless spread of the Skaven, but now a new threat has arisen, a threat that goes by name of Deathmaster Sniktch...

It clearly refers to Skaven cards, plural, so it means everyone's cards.  If it meant only your cards, well, it would actually SAY that.  ;)

I'm pretty sure DM Snikch was Sniktch way back when the skaven book first came out for 5e. I could be mistaken, but it isn't the first name GW's changed the spelling of in later editions. Jezzail are another.

"The forces of Order have put up a valiant fight against the relentless spread of the Skaven, but now a new threat has arisen, a threat that goes by name of Deathmaster Sniktch..."

NO-OOOOH!!!! The name is SNIKCH - SNIKCH - SNIKCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!       Not Sniktch.

If the designers want just a bit of fluff for this game, then they have to learn the names of the VIPs. This is the second misspelled character - how difficult can it be?!?

I would say it's total number in play from both you and your opponent, otherwise it would be 'number of Skaven cards you have in play'

There's space for those two words so I don't see why they would leave them out if that was the intention.

@echtalion: It refers to Skaven cards in play so the Warp Lightning Cannon counts. Regarding your second question, I don't know, I guess it's one more that needs clarification on the FAQ.

Ah, and the follow-up: 'In play', so if your opponent is also playing Skaven cards, medium and big heroes, along with counterstrike units will be slain mercilessly. I can see this sniper power card as core for a deck, especially Chaos+Dark Elves+Skaven. Plenty of corruption, and snipers. :)

Erm...obvious question:

Does this card refer to 'Skaven cards in play', or rather: 'Skaven units in play'?

The difference is in cards such as the cannon, which is a Skaven card, though not a unit.

Any thoughts?
